Cool. Now he's a Rocket. Proof that Lin wasn't shying away from the bright lights of NY, and that Dolan is just that much of a tard. HAHA, Knicks fans/org/media.
Wonder how NY-ers are going to react to this news, since many probably thought he really wanted to be in houston because of the 'secret' meeting in Vegas and all that.
If they think that is a lot, don't ****ing claim they'll match anything up to a billion dollars. Put your money where your mouth is Dolan.
Of course he preferred New York. He was on top of the world there. But this is a familiar situation to him, a guaranteed starting job, and more money. Everybody wins. Except NY. Lulz.
Dolan and the Knicks handled his Free Agency like Junior High Kids. "Fine. Do what you want guys. We're just gonna match anyway." It was just an amateurish way to handle the situation, and they got burned. If they kept their damn mouths shut and didn't play games with Morey, they'd have their cash cow Lin. All they had to do was be quiet and don't reveal their plans to the entire world. Now they look foolish and we pried their star PG right out of their hands. I love it! Morey doesn't mess around!
He was just trying to be politically correct. He knows he has to show some humility to the team that gave him a chance to shine. Nothing worth sensationalizing over. But that being said, New York vs Houston in terms of city? I'm not a Houston-hater, but c'mon man, it's New York.
Woulda never came to that point if they hadn't allowed the market (Morey) to set the starting rate. *shrugs* So, their bad.
