How would we be giving up the same pieces?? More than likely a straight up trade is going to take 2 out of the 3 rookies with us probably keeping Royce White all those picks and taking back 1 or 2 contracts.

You add in LA and you end up keeping 2 of the rookies, and not having to take back as many contracts.

Also... On that front... Kobe saying he may retire in 2 years was something he was asked to say to help reel in Dwight.

Basically saying "Dwight, this is your team, I am almost done."

Perfectly planned and executed. Let's see if this helps the Lakers chances.

The names that come to mind are CP3 and J Smoov, who is one of Dwight's best friends since their teenage years. I could see us potentially involving Lin in a SnT for CP3 if he does actually agree to sign here. I'm interested to see how Blake Griffin's knee plays out before saying that CP3 is going to leave LA. That's a very good situation for him, and I don't see him leaving, but things could change.

If Bynam comes here instead of Howard, I think CLee is S&T elsewhere for assets.

How does Dwight end up in Los Angeles if Orlando wants Houston's assets over the Lakers' and Houston wants Dwight over Bynum?

Are the Magic accommodating Dwight's preference of Los Angeles over Houston?

I dont know why some people think we're going to get away with sending Morris, Patterson, and picks to Orlando.. They'd hang up the phone right away. We are going to have to give up one of our prized possessions to get back a prize. I hate for it to happen but Lamb could in the end be that guy. I would really hate that though but come on Bynum/Dwight or Jeremy Lamb? lets be honest.

None of this makes any sense except for the fact that DH would prefer LA over Houston- but who cares?? We have the picks and young players.

LA isn't taking back anything but maybe 1 bad contract--Jason Richardson. Orlando needs somewhere to dump those contracts. Enter Houston(or a 3rd different team).

LA has no picks to give Orlando. Where is Orlando getting those picks? Houston(or a 3rd different team).

LA has no young pieces to give. Where is Orlando getting those young players from? Houston(or a 3rd different team).

LA needs a 3rd team to complete a Howard deal and do the heavy lifting.

If you got the pieces, you go get Dwight yourself.

This perception of 'We won't have to give up as much and not take on as many bad contracts' if a trade for Bynum happens, not necessarily.

LOL Bulls FO is so scared to deal with Morey after seeing what he did to Knicks, they just called Morey and were like "Hey, you can have him. He is all yours. Just don't ever call us again please."

That line up is is young, cheap, and has boat loads of potential.

    Me gusta.

That's the thing, htownfan, clearly had Hedo (the only bad contract in the trade) still coming to us, while the Lakers jump out the mix with Dwight, scott free.

Yet he adds Dwight to our roster and leaves off Hedo.
Now this trade makes even less sense.

Just leave it to Morey to figure out.

We usually go "wtf", then begin to warm up slowly and embracing the deals he makes.

No, if it played out that way we would end up with Bynum, and LA would take back some of the bad contracts from ORL. The OP said Orlando prefers our assets more so than Bynum and his contract situation.

I corrected that about 3 posts later. And i'm sorry i wasn't focused on what the Lakers take back i really didnt give a ****. Just focused on the fact that we get Bynum while only having to really send out Royce and only taking back Hedo.

Then why would Morey take Bynum instead of Dwight if Houston prefers Dwight and Orlando prefers Houston?

CP3 will not have a contract next offseason; Lin will be under contract, but we will involve him in the SnT sending him to LAC for CP3 in that scenario
