Answered yes to the poll, because I think he can enter the upper echelon amongst pgs.

    Will he be? No.

And with the injury, Rose is now schrodinger's cat.
Rose is no longer elite/Rose is still elite.

Sigmund is the Bigtexx of the Dish/GARM. His signature is even similar.

Anyways if the Bulls called Boston and offered them Rose, Boston would offer them everything on there Roster and a blowjob.

Nash is one of the best, but not in the top 5 anymore

    Paul
    Westbrook
    Rose
    Parker
Williams (honestly though, he hasn't been good since moving to the Nets)
    Rondo

    are ahead of him, IMO.

I think Sigmund is a "Top Tier" troll because you guys ALWAYS get sucked into these multiple page arguments with him.

Where is the cutoff for the top tier?

I doubt Lowry can pass these PGs:

    Rondo
    Nash
    Rubio
    Paul
    Deron
    Rose
    Parker

So that means he could be top 8. But there are a few who could best him for the last 3 spots in the top 10. Lowry's problem is not his ability as much as it is his attitude. I feel like he left Houston because he was a baby with the coach and a hot-head with the female referee. That isht needs to stop if he wants to reach greatness.

    Paul=Rondo
    Parker
    Westbrook
    Williams

    Top 5.

If I had a star on my team (KD,LJ, DH) I rank them like that.

As mentioned before, your previous post contains a few double standards. Nash had arguably one of his best seasons efficiency wise last season averaging about 13 and 11 on 53% FG shooting with a horrid cast of "talent" around him. That being said, Rose is a tenacious defender and has that clutch gene that gives him that edge towards the end of games. Hell, its a stat on 2k so you know its gotta count.

Lowry can definitely get better but he is never going to be good enough to be top tier. That's not a knock on him - it's just there are several HOF level PGs in the league right now. He will never be THAT good, but you can go to way with Lowry and you can definitely win a title with him as your PG.

...as for Rose - he is clearly a top tier PG. It's debatable where he fits in the top tier, but he is without question top tier. He suffers from being the only guy on his team who can get his own shot. That means he has to not only get his own, but create opportunities for others. That also means the defense keys in on him exclusively. Using individual statistical categories to compare the relative worth of players is something only a fool would do.

...I mean hey - you didn't "go to MIT but have the luxury of knowing the game of basketball" so you probably already knew that too huh?

Interesting. Last year in the playoffs, you could also say his play demonstrated Heisenberg's uncertainty theory. The more he was observed (especially with the MVP attention), the more his play changed (for the worse).

No he's not. He's average at best, I definitely wouldn't call him "tenacious".

I think they're talking best PG's right now, and I think nash has fallen off w/ his age. Definitley top 10, but top 5 RIGHT NOW? that's a stretch

Sure, I think Kyle might make it. We'll just have to wait and see. I was sorry we lost him. Hell, I was sorry we lost Dragic. I wish Lowry well, except when he plays the Rockets. My biggest complaint about Lowry? That he didn't spend a hour dribbling a basketball off of Sigmund's head before he left.

If the refs called fouls for Lowry like they do for Paul, Lowry would be the best in the league. Unfortunately, they don't and Lowry gets thrown out of his game when he b****es at the refs.

No, he has the drive and some parts of the game to be such, but I don't think his production (and certain skills) will ever match that of a top tier point guard. I don't see the potential, either. He's not a great mid-range shooter, lacks great playmaking, or anything close to a really good scorer. Lowry fans take it easy, I'm not criticizing him, but you tend to overrate him.

Great court vision and distributor: Nash, Rondo, Paul, and Williams
Great shooter: Nash, Paul, and Parker
Great scoring ability: Rose, Westbrook, Paul, Williams, and Parker
Great play-making ability (creativity with basketball): All the above...

Lowry doesn't fit into any of those categories. Lowry does bring great rebounding and good defense to the table, but those traits aren't quite as valuable as the four traits above. For example, Lowry never could carry a team in scoring, like Lawson, Irving, or even briefly what Lin did. Lowry also cannot make the same kind of plays. He'll never have Nash, Paul, or Williams's dominance over running an offense, while he isn't the kind of shooter that Nash, Parker, or Paul. He doesn't have great point guard skills, good, but not outstanding.

I see that potential in Dragic (shooting, a little scoring, and distributor), Wall (scoring and distributor), Lin (scoring, distributor, and play-making), Irving (scoring and play-making), Rubio (distributor and playmaking), or Lawson (scorer, shooting, play-making).

In Toronto, Lowry is actually in a pretty good situation for a point guard, he won't necessarily have to score much considering his surrounded by Bargnani, DeRozan, Ross, Fields, and Valanciunas.
