    Me too.

Can't imagine he would go into the season with Douglas, Livingston and Fortson or Machado.

Memphis seems to be loaded at point again (Lowry de ja vu?).

I can only imagine that he'd have traded for someone.

Not to take this too far in another direction, but I found it humorous that in Ric Bucher's currently airing piece about Lin (voice-only narration by Bucher...in that sort of womanly voice Bucher has when you hear his voice but don't see his face), he says of Lin, "So now he leaves to fill the shoes of former Rocket's center Yao Ming." (Little attempt by Bucher to put it into proper context, which is what I found funny.)

By just the revenue/ income from Asia, it easily exceeds 50M in 3 years. We have a smart owner and GM.

Somewhere in the corner of his little basement bedroom, SIGMUND IS SOBBING uncontrollably, feeling hopeless and despair.

We have to keep an eye on Sigmund, he maybe suicidal!

Morey always had a 3-step plan:

1: Cut Lin, knowing that he'd go to NYC.
    2. Leverage NYC's media to make him a star.
    3. Exploit that stardom in Houston.

    Genius!

(btw... This is the most pumped I've been in a long, long time. I live in New York. Yes, it's easy to dismiss Linsanity as "hype"--and, to an extent, it was--but there was something genuinely electric, infectious, and inspiring in the air. Even the cynics loved it. Who knows if we can bottle up that lightning, but suddenly, the Rockets just hijacked one of the greatest basketball stories in years.)

    Today is a good day.

I think Sigmund may have to retire his Rockets allegiance because we are going to be overexposing Jeremys. Speaking of Lin, I'm beginning to savor a true Rockets victory, look at what people are writing in NY.

    Here is a sample:
I am a huge fan of Jeremy and started following the Knicks when he burst on to the scene. Even signed up for NBA TV and was planning a trip to New York from New Zealand in January to watch him play. Will now plan to go to Houston or catch a game on the west coast when they play.

To be honest, I'm kinda glad he's going away from NY. There were aspects of the organisation I didn't like, I also think Melo's style of play is not conducive to an up and coming point guard developing.

Anyway NY's loss is Houston's gain.

Couple this with a player that with a C that will give his soul, a gritty point forward and two skilled G-Fs...today really is a good day. I can't wait for this season to start

    Broussard:

**The Initial offer, [Lin] was going to be paid nine million in year three. Initially, the Rockets thought that would be enough for NY not to match. Knicks said they would. The Rockets sweetened the offer and that's when NY said we can't afford to match that.

**NY probably showed their hand too soon. If they had said they weren't going to match, the Lin camp and Rockets believed nine million would be enough to give the Knicks pause and not match. Had they not come out and said 'We're matching', I can't say for sure Houston would have not upped the ante but good chance the [initial] offer stands. ... The Knicks could have waived Lin in the second year and stretched that fifteen million in that third year over three years. The LT payment wouldn't have been near as much. That made me feel like it would not be a bad idea to match the offer.

**Knicks are claiming this to be a financial decision. You heard rumblings guys were upset when he didn't play in Heat series at 85%. You didn't hear complaints then. J.R. Smith did say guys would be taken aback with that contract. Others wanted him back. Novak said on Twitter he'll miss him. I talked to guys too. There are some leaks out there where they are trying to put this on Lin. He was ungrateful, we gave you a shot, and he went out to the Rockets. Some revisionist history going on.

**(Who will be better PG for NY, Felton or Lin?): Right now, Felton. Not convinced after twenty-five starts Lin will be even above average. Maybe he will. He did his damage under Mike D'Antoni. Chris Duhon had career year under D'Antoni. Same for Felton. Let's see how Lin plays in another system. With Woodson, averaged 13 and 5 on 40% shooting. He was a different player under Woodson. Felton was poor last year but over his career, a solid PG. At this point, he's better. Dragic and Lowry are better than Lin and those are the 2 PGs the Rockets had before Lin.

**(Chances Bynum or Howard end up in Houston?): Rockets have tried. A for effort. At this point, Dwight is still saying Brooklyn. For that to happen, he needs to mend fences with Orlando and start the season there and get traded in January or February. Nets are doing right thing moving on but the thought is still in the back of their mind. Dwight's reps and Dwight still want Brooklyn. Houston or LA are the only real destinations for Dwight and I feel like he'll end up in LA but so many obstacles. Bynum won't commit long term to Orlando. Houston would be good 3rd team to facilitate. Cleveland could get involved. All in flux right now.

We are officially an expansion team, more evidence that Morey is too smart for his own good. $15 mln for 1 season for a limited point guard.

Broussard is an idiot. Of course Houston couldn't trade for Dwight directly even though reports have almost ALL said that's exactly what we're trying to do.

Doesn't have to do with what Dwight wants, has to do with whether we're willing to take the risk and whether our offer is the best one Orlando is fielding (which it is).

I just love the fact that the guy has spent the entire offseason in the gym. They say he literally lives in the gym. Lin is exactly the type of player you can give $8.5 mil to and rest assured that he's not going take his foot off the peddle. He got where he is through hard work, and Linsanity means that he's got a lot to live up to. I don't see this guy disappointing the Rockets. He's a great young floor leader that will end up being one of our cornerstone players.
