Orlando's gm is either licking his chops or upset that he just lost a prospect because of their play. Our beat case scenario is that we have a 3 way trade with Orl and La. We take Bynum and give up little.

There is one reason for this. There is one leader that is making this happen. The total unselfish team play of one player. If White wasn't doing his thing for these guys, they wouldn't be here. Just goes to show you why you have to watch the games. White is Chuck Hayes all over again in a much bigger body with more offensive play making skills. His D has been great. He's boarding like a man. He's bringing the ball up, constantly passing the ball and setting everybody up. He's the real numero uno.

Not taking anything away from the rest of the guys. They have been impressive. But White has single-handedly taken these guys and got them running some sort of system in a couple games where guys are actually setting picks, moving, and looking to receive the pass and passing the ball themselves to Royce because they know they're gonna get it back for the easy layup/dunk. Instead of silly one-on-one scrum basketball, which most of summer league is, like you see down at the YMCA or at my church gymnasium, we are actually seeing some nice flowing basketball movement. That's Royce.

I like him the most, but to be honest his pick and roll is terrible. He needs to lose some weight and rip his body up in order to guard 3.

On the offensive end, he needs to finish around the rim better [he won't be able to draw any defender in the regular season if he can't finish the basket], and handle the ball with more care.

lol yep. So much positive going on for the rockets. Once they hit a rookie wall there will the usual "____ sucks! What a scrub! Fire Murray!" posts.

Yes, he needs to improve those things along with getting his FT stroke down in rhythm. But I'm not interested in seeing him lose more than about 10 lbs at the most though. Don't really care about him playing the 3 either. He's a rotation guy. If we trade for Dwight, our big rotation is set with Dwight, DMo, and Royce. If we get Asik, Asik just turns into a trade asset at the deadline.

Royce has great size at the 4 and does a sensational job of jumping the pick defensively and forcing the guard out before getting back in the post. Very good pick and roll defender. Very good position defender like Chuck but has even more size to board better and rumble. And when you combine his D with a guy like Dwight who is the eraser, along with Parsons, our D is going to be very, very good.

I really don't care if he ever shoots the 3. He has the ability to catch, face up, stare down the defender and simply dribble into the circle. The defender has to back off and respect his drive. That is a huge key. And Royce is very, very intelligent. He just walks the ball into the circle on the dribble and then it is game on with the short jumper or some sort of pass out to a wide open shooter.

Can't say enough good things about this guy.

I suspect Orlando is trying to squeeze both White and Lamb or all 3 of White, Lamb, and Parsons from us and Morey is holding steady by offering them Lamb, Jones, and PPat or Morris, along with the two possible lottery picks.

Rockets fans are starving for excitement - the last couple of years there was very little reason for that. Now we have 4 very exciting rookies - add to that Parsons, who was the bright spot last year and the whole circus around Lin and we finally have a team to be excited about again.

I don't think anyone believes we could get a playoff spot with this team, but we have 4 guys that all seem to be legit. You never know how they pan out when playing with the big guys - but it at least seems very possible, that one or two of them becomes an all star.

So yeah, we are excited for summer league...
