''The Rockets deserve a lot of credit for the way they've gone about this,'' said Marc Ganis, president of Chicago-based SportsCorp. ''It was extremely intelligent - with an assassin's touch.'' Ganis thought the Knicks should swallow the ''poison pill'' anyway, because of the immeasurable value that Lin added to the franchise internationally. While the Knicks would not directly recoup the luxury-tax hit, Lin would drive higher television ratings and continue to raise the team's profile in Asia, a prosperous market for the NBA since Yao Ming played for the Rockets. Welcome. I know you're a newbie, so I'll give you some advice. With Rockets related stuff, you should create the thread in the GARM. (Houston Rockets: Game Action & Roster Moves )(http://bbs.clutchfans.net/forumdisplay.php?f=9)
who cares about tv ratings and an asian market? les? good for lin but he's an average point guard. rockets still need a superstar (production wise).
I am not sure that we need to appreciate for the previous mistake of letting Lin go and then paying him many millions of dollars more for that mistake.
I think Lin makes Houston way more attractive to free agent superstars. Also think Jeremy Lin if not better than Lowry or Dragic now will grow to be with more games under his belt. I don't believe in flukes in the NBA and averaging those numbers with no Carmelo, Stat for most of those games is very impressive.
if i am correct shuffling is a dance . or is referred to dancing .. how does that make sense in your statement?
let's be real. no potential big time free agents are salivatig at the thought of playing with jeremy lin. superstars want to play with superstars. lin is a media star but not a superstar in terms of skill.
Marketing don't win ball games You want really, really, really bad to make this signing more than it is, desperation. The guy played well 25 games and now all of sudden we've made him the face of our franchise. Theres absolutley no substance in this signing. No hate just fact.
I want to slap you in the face with that comment but I can't because you're absolutely right. Media star indeed but we can always hope Lin can get better.
