I'm okay with this, and eventually some of these rooks would steal starter minutes.

    Lin/Machado/
    Martin/Lamb/Douglas
    Parsons/White/Morris
    Patterson/Jones/Leuer
    Asik/Motiejunas

i really don't think k-mart will be a rocket this season, or get much playing time.

    PG: Lin
    SG: Lamb
    SF: Parsons / White
    PF: Patterson / Dmo
    C: Asik / Jones

i think we can make the playoffs with our new rooks

    PG Lin
    SG Richardson
    SF Parsons
    PF Patterson
    C Howard

that will be our lineup and i will take this lineup all day compared to the ones with rookies and asik.

    As we stand now?

    Lin/Douglas/Livingston
    Martin/Lamb/Forbes
    Parsons/Morris/Forbes
    Patterson/White/Luer
    Motiejunas/T. Jones/Harrelson

Yes I put Terrence Jones as a C. He's big enough to play backup C and it clears our logjam at sf/pf. Also, Motie and Patterson can play either 4 or 5 depending on the matchup.

it's kind of weird, i dont even consider Kevin Martin a Rocket anymore..it's kind of sad. i hope he has a bounce back season though.

and when dwight leaves and we are terrible with no young talent or draft picks what are we going to do?

Just think about it. If Dwight leaves, we will be one of the worst teams in the NBA. Nobody would wanna come here and we'd have no draft picks to show for it.

We will have draft picks. As of now, because of the protected pick that we owe Atlanta, Houston is prohibited from trading their own draft pick until 2018.

Once we make the playoffs, they we have to convey our pick to Atlanta and then we can start trading draft picks again but not before. Unless we go acquire an unprotected first rounder then it's impossible for us to include any of our own first round picks before 2018 in a deal for Howard.

The good news is if we end up as "one of the worst teams in the NBA" as you say then those picks should be very valuable.

I like .. that team would be fun but still lose enough to get us a couple of nice picks next year

that lineup would get you anywhere from the 3rd to 8th pick in the draft. but that with and toronto's pick you would be set up for the future very nicely.

Ideally you would want to start the rookies and tank . But that's not the rockets style. Despite how experience some of these rookies are, most will still be brought on slowly off the bench. So with that said, I see this as our starting lineup and bench:

    Starter's.
    PG: Jeremy Lin
    SG: Jeremy Lamb
    SF: Chandler Parsons
    PF: Patrick Patterson
C: Omar Asik*(still could be matched)

    Bench- (Run & Gun Youth)
    PG: Toney Douglas
    SG: Zoran Dragic
    SF: Royce White *(primary playmaker)
    PF: Terrence Jones
    C: Donatas Motiejunas
