Haha the Knicks are mad that we took advantage of their mistake and now they have lost their cash cow. Unless they still wanna match somehow this really seems like a childish move on the part of the Knicks management...

Unprofessional. They really should have taken the paperwork on Friday and this would have been over yesterday. They are just mad. Match it or don't but stop dragging your feet NY.

Next time, get a GM that makes an offer to your most exciting player in years instead of trying to lowball him.

Seems like they're doing it just to spite us after we changed the contractual terms. Ya, they mad alright.

I think Lin will be better than any other pg we have on our roster, but I am hesitant to give him such a big contract after playing well for like 25 games. Especially when we had Lowry for 5-6 mil a year. Dragic is better than Lin and only got $30 with $4 for all-star appearances.

But, if it helps us get a star because of the Asian publicity (which btw I feel we never lost, Chuck, Scola, and many others all had deals after Yao disappeared), than I am A OK with it. We can trade the 14.8 expiring for a draft pick if necessary, SOMEONE will want that contract by in 3 years.

UHMMM. And where is your connection to reality? It was a good faith offer well within the rules of the CBA. And what exactly is your point? Nothing of course. Thought so.

I hear that 25 million is less than a billion dollars too...

Knicks were stupid to go after Nash and Kidd if they really wanted to keep Lin. They're also stupid for not matching Lin and finding a way to get rid of Tyson Chandler or Amare in the next couple of years.

Just a horribly, horribly run franchise. Have fun topping out in the 2nd round in the 'Melo era.

JVG speculated the Knicks were offended by Lin when he renegotiated his contract with the Rockets.

Based on what I read, this Knicks team is just classless. We didn't offer Lin 40 mil for the 3rd year, we offered him 3 year 25 mil, a very reasonable amount for Lin. They didn't match Not because they were insulted by alleged Lin and rockets sneaky move behind their back, they didn't match because they didn't want pay the luxury tax as a result. That's not Lin's or rocket's fault ... There has to be consequences for overpaying people like melo, amare and Tyson. And yet somehow they say they were ambushed by Lin and rockets. Classless organization and spineless as superstar in melo. They are going to suck for as along as they are stuck with melo and Woodson.

Well said and totally agreed. Dolan is paying now for his mistakes.
