This would be the perfect payback to Morey changing the original offer sheet if NY suddenly overturns their decision and match at the last second. Sure hope not but one thing i've learned with beig a Rocket fan, i would never celebrate prematurely until it's 100% confirmed (when clock strikes 12:00).
wow, you guys are terrible, did you even watch any of the games he played in besides the one against miami?! He's a great asset to this organization. He's not CP3 but neither is Dragic.
That's what I keep thinking. 11:58 pm eastern, the Knicks will announce that they're matching and keeping Lin.
Jonathan Feigen: Once it is official on Lin, Rockets will have to waive one player, wait 48 hours, then sign Omer Asik to offer sheet and begin that process. 1 minute ago Read more: http://hoopshype.com/twitter/media.html#ixzz20utKXoPE
The Knicks are just petty and stupid enough to pull a stunt like this. This is a franchise that ran off a respected front office executive like Donnie Walsh in part because owner James Dolan could not stop flirting with a magnificent failure like Isiah Thomas. Assuming the Knicks would act logically is always dangerous. You would hope that their Chris Paul pipe dream would trump retaining Lin, but you never know.
I have a little hesitation. Knicks announced, as the Dow closes, that they are not matching Lin's offer. Yet, they have an announcement tonight... If they are planning on matching, doesnt it make sense to announce it as the Dow closes so that the stock isnt affected...and then turn around and stick a big middle finger up the Rocket's asses? Im scared to celebrate.
Hope this works. I'd love to see a lineup of Asik, D Mo, Parsons, Lamb and Lin. Young team that can hopefully build some excitement.

Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen The Asik, Lin contracts will not impact talks with Magic, per source. Talks on trade for Dwight Howard have taken those deals into account.
