    It was his first year really playing in the NBA and he managed to put up a 20 PER while leading his team to wins. Obviously he has flaws, but he's far from a finished product. His good far outweighs the bad.

    Then look at it this way: Lin's presence on the Rockets makes it MUCH easier for the team to pay any luxury taxes we may incur by signing a big-name FA or two in the future to combine with Howard.

    The same was said about Marquis Daniels another 20 PER rookie who the Mavs tried to turn into their starting PG for a couple years.
