Carmelo Anthony now says he wants Jeremy Lin back with the Knicks

Who cares if Melo says he wants Lin back in NY......what else you expect him to say?

 

yeah Melo's PR department called him up and said "we need to go over a few things and you need a little quote for the press" ..

Melo could care less about Lin, the ball will be in Melo's hands 95 % of the time no matter who the pg is

 

You're right Melo's opinion doesn't matter but he did also say the Jim Dolan wanted Lin back and his opinion does matter. I wonder if Melo actually spoke to Dolan.

 

Melo is both jealous of the money and the attention. I think JR is just jealous of the money. Either way, if Lin was black they wouldn't be saying a word.

 

Good PR move, or a good backpeddle from his previous statements. Last thing he wants to be know as is the guy who drove an Asian star out of the big apple.

 

Except it is a story because he said something that was not so PC originally and now he's trying to backtrack.

I don't recall reading where Melo ever said he didn't want Lin back.
He spoke on the "ridiculousness" of the contract.

The fans here want to laud Morey for the odd and unique set-up of the contract making it difficult for the Knicks to match, but then want to lambaste Carmelo for saying basically the same thing but from the opposing perspective.

 

either that, or they told melo that they are matching him, and to do some damage control before they announce it
