Is anybody else super uncomfortable with Lamb wearing the #1 jersey? I mean as far as Rockets go you have, Ariza(sucked), T Mac(injuries), T Will(sucked) around the league D Rose (injury), Penny Hardaway(injuries). Lol, I know, I know don't be so superstitious.
Also, Terrence Jones is number 9 on the list today. Our only rookie to not be on the rookie ladder at one point is the same player who nearly put up a triple double tonight. Wouldn't be surprised if Royce makes before SL is over. Would be pretty sweet to have all of our rookies in the top 10 at once though.
Short article about our guys... http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2012/07/17/rockets-rookies-off-to-hot-start/
The Rockets would be the first team to ever have 3 rookies make the top 10 of the rookie ladder list( according to Seku Smith).. since the list started in 2007, and we have an outside chance for 4 rookies to make that list.. when you include Royce White, and D.Mo
The coaches may talk about passing on TV, but I doubt they say one word of it to Lamb in private. It's a new game at this level- faster and longer- and Lamb needs to learn and adapt, as he has so far, esp. while the games are meaningless. He needs to try to score every time he touches the ball. I remember when Michael Jordan was a rookie, I sat under the basket at the Summit and saw up close a guy who never looked to pass. he coaches knew his future role and told him to just try to score, one-on-five, this during the regular season. The Rockets want Lamb to be a guy who can score from anywhere on the court at any time. That role exists on every team and will be vacant here when KMart leaves this season.
westbrook had to adjust, im sure rivers can as well. they just got gordon back, so i think rivers is gonna have to play point.
and by that, for those who don't know, i meant that westbrook was a shooting guard in college, and had to adjust by becoming an nba point.
Boy wouldn't that be awesome. Well, if he is a Rocket that is. Imagine Dwight leaving and Lamb as the ROY
