I wouldn't consider "signing" Lin a make or break for Morey, considering Lin is a restricted free agent. Morey has very little control over Lin being in a Rockets uniform this coming season, but in my opinion, he drew up a contract that benefits the Rockets regardless of whether or not Lin is matched by the Knicks. One the one hand, we would be able to get Lin who, as mentioned by other posters, at roughly 8.5 million in capspace a year is a bargain considering his further break out potential (remember his is only 24 and has played "half a season" in the NBA) and marketability. And if New York matches, well... their cap is tapped out, which inevitably keeps them from making a play at Chris Paul next year while we have the cap room to offer him a max contract. In the meantime we just fill the gaps through free agency.

So if you consider the fact that with or without Lin the Rockets are in great position cap and flexibility wise, Morey already [made] his tenure and is not in break position.

In my opinion, there's nothing that could happen this season that could break Morey's tenure. We don't get Lin, we don't get Asik, and we don't get Howard, then we roll with the players we have while securing a high draft pick (also taking into account the draft pick we received from Toronto) for next year and continue to build our own foundation while maintaining cap flexibility for future moves.

The Knicks and Rockets are currently disputing when Jeremy Lin's offer sheet was delivered to New York.

Houston contends that it was delivered on Saturday and that the Knicks have until midnight on Tuesday to match Lin's offer sheet.

The Rockets spent most of Saturday trying to deliver the offer sheet in Las Vegas to Knicks' GM Glen Grunwald.

Reports indicated that the offer sheet was eventually delivered to the Knicks' New York offices via courier and thus started the timeline up to Tuesday's deadline, the involved teams are now sending mixed signals as to whether or not that is the case.*

Pick a thread to troll in.

If you're gonna troll multiple Lin threads, you don't need your own thread for it.

And yes, you are posting crap trying to goad other posters into getting angry, that's the textbook definition of a troll.

The fan who set up the petition knows more about basketball than Dolan and Grunwald.

I am posting truth. And Morey should learn the game not the numbers.

Is there some loophole where you can ban this guy for trolling? Or at least being so delusional to the point where he is harming the community?
He has not said one positive thing about Rockets basketball; he also hates Morey too.

I don't care who he hates, it's the mindless repetition.
