I don't get why some are flipping out about this....seemed like a testament to the idiocy in arizona, to me. And, sadly, being in Arizona, there's probably a decent chance THIS does happen.
The suns front office should have just kept Amare and Nash together if they wanted to spin its wheels like this. Wtf are they doing over there?
that sucks I was hoping he would land somewhere that actually had a chance to win a ring.. He was the player on our team who gave it his all night n and night out..So wow that really kind of sucks for him
Its going to be interesting to see how much they had to pay to claim him off waivers. My guess is Les isn't going to be left with much at all to pay. Phoenix will be an interesting team, but you kind of wonder what they are really trying to do other than just be a bubble playoff team. If they are going to make any noise in the West Gortat is going to need to take a huge step forward, and Dragic is going to have to do what he did after the all-star break this year the entire season.
Oh, man, if the Suns make any noise in the playoffs it'll be like rooting for the Rox. Gogi and Scola.
https://twitter.com/Gambo620 "Luis Scola gets 4.1, 4.5 and 4.9 million over next three years from Suns but only 440K is guaranteed in year 3." Basically paying 60% of his salary
How did you come to that conclusion? So far, between the current draft picks, efforts to sign quality FAs and increase our cap space to pull in Howard, I've seen no indication that Morey's trying to make our team worse. Even if we are in "rebuilding" mode, it will net us better players next year, with a high draft pick and possibly landing a FA like Bynum, so again the net result will be to make Rockets better. Either way, we're finally getting out of the mediocrity spin cycle.

Sooo next season the PHX Rockets play the Hou Magic ....interesting Well I HOPE we get Dwight. Loved dragic until he started picking that dribble up, & well Scola was signed to an extension that could have hurt us like kelvin catos deal. He's just played too many games here and internationally
A big amen to this. Unfortunately, Scola did not get into a contending team so that he could have a chance to get a ring. He is a great warrior and team player. Phoenix can only get better with him there. Good luck and thanks for playing your heart out for us Rockets fans.
Does this mean the Rockets pay the full salary or only the difference between (what we had him on our books for - suns offer)
