You could tell early on coaches probably wanted him to be more agressive this game and look for his shot more... But I don't think they were expecting the bad shot selections and not making the obvious extra pass to his teammates. Then caused turnovers when attempting to pass (After coaches probably got on him because of it)

Unless he shoots a very high percentage (which is unlikely) he'll have no impact on the game, and his practically useless on the court.

I don't think it was in the gameplan, demanding to get the ball to certain players... Summer League is so they can see what all the players would potentially bring to the team... I believe they gave players pointers and what they're looking for, but NOT to be selfish and not make the right play. He needs to play in the flow of the offense and allow the game come to him. Or these games will be the last time Morris gets to suit up for the Rockets.

I disagree.. Morris did what he needed to do.. run and play hard down low.

He took shots and hit some.. He did not ball hog.. He screwed up 3,4,5 times on D but go 2 turn overs from D too... But so did Lamb and D-Mo. Morris rebounded and outlet the ball nicely once or twice.. and blocked or changed a shot twice..

I like the game he played tonight better than what he played Friday night. Hell he chased the ball for rebounds...

Plus he ran the floor and finished at the rim.. and he fouled hard at the D rim. Morris had a good game IMHO.

He was solid!! and we saw it.

Everyone sees that, except those who spin for Morey, since there is no Center on the roster then "voila" DMo is a starting C DMo has a bit of Laettner in him, even the LH.

You have good taste in basketball as well as in politics.

Lamb is the most beautiful player to hit Houston since the occasionally healthy TMac. He doesn't jump over people so he does things with his lean and with the ball, including off the glass, that are just sick. He's obviously not as big and powerful as Kobe, so it's not yet clear he can create his shot at the 3-point line with quality NBA defenders going at him, but the analogy of today remains Kobe (I was #2 in these boards with the analogy, by the way).

Kobe is a better player than KMart so I would take that. Would also take Ray Allen.

Laettner is old school basket ball. D-Mo is a pup coming up.
Nice try but no dice... Laettner would crush D-Mo at the rim or at the least undercut him at the knees. The game was diffident back then.

winner Laettner hands down right now.

The rest of SL is going to be ugly to watch without Parsons playmaking or a capable PG on the team.

Lamb is nice to watch... until he stops playing team ball... Yes i said it!!

Kobe did that too as a young man... Did not play team ball and still does it today... Lamb does not need to be praised for that at all.

Patterson played C in SL when he was a rookie. It doesn't mean they'll play that position in the NBA. Morey has already said Donuts is playing PF.

SL is a bit like D-League no real Cs so players get bumped out of position.

I need to say something right here... D-Mo is the real deal.. I love this guy.
Hands down he is a Rocket I what watch and grow to love to watch for years to come.
D-Mo has the game.. The tools.. The work put in over seas, and the knowledge of playing the game to back up what he says, and just the fact of how I have seen him play hard thus far.

The fact is I Like D-Mo and thats ..that.

I said "a bit" and I intended it as a compliment to Dmo to be mentioned alongside.

At one point during the game tonight, some dude behind me was shouting so loud, "Put Eli in!", Coach Sampson turned around and yelled back, "He's hurt!".

Continue to be impressed by Jones. Despite D-Mo's stats tonight, he is one of the quickest 7 footers i've ever seen, and this guy could be really good in a few years. Morris still looks akward and inconsitant to me. White finished better around the rim tonight, but still looks like he's trying to find his way out there. Despite the stat-sheet, i thought Lamb was up and down all night.

Best player on Houston tonight was Zoran Dragic. Very impressive I thought. Everytime he had the ball in his hands, he did something good with it. In fact, he looked like a vet out there, playing with rookies. I will be watching him a lot more closely on Monday.

What's very clear is that Machado and Fortson are not the answer. Houston should really consider trying to run the offense through Royce White on Monday.

I'm willing to see if Fortson or Machado can settle down Monday. If not, I'll be begging for Ish, Garrett, or Will.

I wonder if they told DMo to go party all night and suck in order to reverse-showcase him.

You just said a lot.. even if it's not true that you were at the game.. you saw it. Machado is a deer in headlights. Turn off the bright lights and he plays like a god most times... he is too green and not ready for the NBA.. needs 3 years or more with a father figure coach.
Fortson can play and run.. he out runs the team most times... thats a problem. Pace the offense young man, then run the plays.!!
Morris.. I think he played better than ever tonight. He got lost.. on O and D like 3 or 4 times... Jordan Hill was lost in his own house everyday.
Marcus was just trying to hard to cover or recover... he needs to slow down to play faster just like Fortson. Marcus made some real good plays last night.. I'm ok with his play overall.

Hope you bring me back a souvenir... one of those pruple and gold, black striped colored $10,000.00 poker chips would be nice:)...We be friends foreva!!

Wow, that was some ugly basketball last night. I felt a little sorry for Motiejunas. A number of times he would make a move to get open, but the ball handler would completely miss the opportunity to get him the ball.

Does Royce White ever shoot a jump shot? He is a good ball handler, but that won't be enough.

Lamb looks to be a good replacement for Martin, can't tell if he will play defense yet, but he's looking good out there.

Morris seems to have some real potential, but he seems lost at times.

Jones had 16 pts and 5 rebounds, pretty good. He looks a little strange running up and down the court, I can't really say why. I want to see more of Jones.

The free throw shoot was atrocious.

    Why isn't Patterson playing?
