What are you even doing here? I mean, what is the point? Is that how you get your kicks? To go out of your way to try to make other people unhappy? What a pathetic way to behave.
Even if do eventually win a championship, the trophy will get dusty in its case. Not worth it. Dishing out everyone, including Howard for a back surgery that won't keep him out a single game, is not anti-homer, its stupid.
But the Rockets are a far cry from the Bucks. The Rockets still have a large and passionate Chinese fanbase because of Yao. The Bucks have never come close to anything like that when they had Yi who doesn't drive near the passion that Yao does.
Yao would have received more attention being in New York as well but he was still a circus in the league. I'm not arguing that NYC doesn't magnify a story. I'm saying that there's still a story and quite a big following if Lin played in Houston.
It's certainly not a bad thing for us in Houston to have had the fuse lit in New York and us possibly reaping the follow-up benefits. It's a great story that will hopefully continue here.
Not sure if this was said yet or not. But during the SL game they said Felton was involved in a trade to the Knicks. And with that, that more than likely means the Knicks will not be matching the rockets offer for Lin. Thoughts?
Yeah, that was like Lin's first start and he definitely got the better of Dron. But the next game, Deron just punished him with 38 points and good D. And Wade just destroyed him. Lin has a solid offensive game, but his defense and turnovers are huge weaknesses. When I talk about getting out-muscled I am not talking on the offensive end of the court, I mean when he has to play defense. Those two things will be what hurts him. He can get the points and assists. He will have to work on the D and the Turnovers.
No, you are saying there will be a circus here that will put the attention on Houston and draw other free agents in. That's not going to happen. Linsanity might come to Houston, but for the rest of the country, our side of Asian American communities, it's over. Yao was a circus because he was 7'6" tall. You make it out to be that Lin is like the Jackie Robinson of modern day basketball.
LOL Yao was a circus because he was 7'6. All those people that showed up for games all over the country and were watching on TV just love tall people. That's awesome.
Chalmers, Wade, Cole, James - they all got in there and harassed him and pounded him at different times on both ends of the court. It was just one game, but really demonstrated that Lin has a ways to go to be an elite player. He really came unraveled and couldn't even put the ball on the floor without a turnover.
Yao was considerably more talented than Yi. People generally don't care about players that suck. Are you drunk?
