parsons will never make the all star d mo might if he can keep up a consistent production of 20-10 for the next 5 years
I agree, but on the other hand the market for Dwight has at least temporarily dried up. We know what other teams are offering. There is no point in out-bidding ourselves because of "worth." I mean, we amnestied Scola and got nothing back, its not always about street worth.
If you're talking about Howard, the deal likely won't happen till next week once the Asik and Lin offer sheets are settled with.
Yea right. After the Nets traded for Joe Johnson, what were they gonna offer, Brook Lopez, Damion James, and some late 20's first rounders GET OUTTA HERE Im not stupid I'd rather just let these guys play next year, and try our hardest to convince Bynum to sign with us
Are you guys really suggesting that we shouldnt include Jones in a trade? We're talking about Dwight Howard people...lol. You cant just give away crap to get a top 5 player in the entire NBA. Sure, Jones looked good, Lamb looks awesome...thats all fine and dandy...but we're getting Dwight effin Howard. Its not even close. KM, Lamb, White, Morris, Patterson, Toronto pick, and Dallas Pick for Dwight Howard, Chris Duhon, Jason Richardson, Glen Davis Lin?/Brooks?/Duhon Richardson Parsons DMo Howard That lineup is a good start to our future. Morey is clearly amazing at getting solid role players...and that will continue as he builds a team around Parsons, DMo, and Howard.
I dont get your point...Yes, the Nets may have offered that...but no way the Magic would accept that.
haha you didn't include Jones in your hypothetical either. But I agree with that pacakge. If that is what it takes, I can live with it.
Yea im sure Webber knows some people who are in Dwights circle Morey needs to not be stupid, Dwight is DIVA. This guy has said no to Orlando after they have kissed his ass 10 times over and wiped it clean. If this guy says he wont resign with Houston, he probably wont Offer Heningan.. Martin, White, Patterson, Morris, and all of our future picks for Dwight, and maybe 1 or 2 bad contracts. I dont think we should higher than that
I think what he is trying to say is that nobody besides the Rockets were even heavily recruiting Dwight so sometimes you just have to take what you can get..especially since they won't to unload him quick. They might not get "fair" market value from any team...closest is Morey, and thats why we have the leverage.
Why were they talking to them for so long, the Magic knew what the Nets had after the Joe Johnson trade. If the Magic knew that nothing on their roster was valuable, why even pick up the damn phone
Lol, I noticed after I submitted...I'd throw Jones in too, haha. If before the draft, we were told that we could get Howard for our 3 first rounders, KM, Lowry, Patterson, and Morris, everyone would jump on that. We picked good players and everyone is getting attached, but the Rockets will have the ability to fill in pieces in the future. We're getting a player that is better than any of these rookies will be. Not including DMo.
LMAO some of you people around here are clueless ... I can just imagine the conversation ..." WTF DMo ha been putting up 20/10 for the past 5 years and still not made an all-star game" Cmon man...Of course if a 7 footer puts up those #'s he'd be a lock.
I thought Motiejūnas did great, but he has a steep learning curve ahead of him. I think he will struggle against stronger players inside the paint. However, I am very high on this guy. He's only 21 years old, and just look how versatile he is. He definitely can shoot the ball from the outside, and he seems to be able to score around the basket also. He really runs the floor well. He seems to know what's going on around him. Considering these guys have only been practicing a week, they did pretty well.
exactly why give Heningan what he wants, If the Hawks step in and offer Teague and Horford.. so be it But what other teams are offering their young players and picks to to the Magic(knowing that he wont even resign). Only Morey Morey has all the leverage, until another team comes in with a bigger offer. No need to throw the kitchen sink at the Magic until somebody ups the ante
