I'd do the trade. The only player that I'd hate to part with would be Parsons because he'd be such a solid contributer/role player for this team(Plays good D, high bball IQ, Durant stopper) Honestly I don't think that any of the recent draft picks will have a major impact in the NBA. PPatt and Macrus Morris? Meh.

Just do the trade, hopefully get Howard. Convince him to stay by signing Chris Paul in the Offseason. If this happens, people will long forget this players.

I'm just glad that Donuts isn't involved. I think he can develop into a special player.

I think the trade happens before today's 3 PDT game.

Rep'd. It's a shame so many posters here are such short-term thinkers. If there is one thing we should all know by now about the Morey era, it is that he always has the next move on his mind.

Also your telling me if we got lee back... and kept parsons and dmo...we would be better than last year...plus now have the super star to attract other stars?

Tony Douglas/Duhon (the rookie guy maybe aaron brooks)
    Lee/Richardson
    Parsons/ Gary Forbes
    Big Baby /Dmo
    Howard / (maybe asik)

if we get howard...me make some subsequent moves...i think that team is legit...and even more so when you consider the possibility of getting cp3 the next year.

Or at the very least, there has to be some sort of gameplan as to which players to showcase and which ones to sit out the game. Worst case scenario is letting the trade value of any of our young assets drop (ie- Marshon Brooks 0-10 fg performance in first summer league game).

Well, if Lamb scores 38 off 15-20 shooting, we can consider it a done deal.

I don't think it happens today. I think the Magic will take more time to think.

So if we were to try and maximize cap space for next summer, we could use the stretch provision to cut Davis and Richardson immediately. We could then wait until next season where Turkoglu's contract is only partially guaranteed (half) and cut him as well. Not saying we would want to do this, but if we were to maximize cap space, the 3 contracts combined would hit the Rockets at 2.77 for Davis, 2.66 for Richardson, 6.1 for Turkoglu, or 11.53 million combined. 11.53 million is a lot to pay for an empty roster spot but it would mean the Rockets would have about 35 million tied up into guaranteed contracts going into the following season. With the NBA salary cap at 58 million we should be able to field another max contract player and still fill out our roster. I could be wrong with how I am looking at this, but if we can keep a few of our young players and resign Lee, we should be able to make a run at a Chris Paul next off season. I don't know if that is a championship caliber team, but it is a hell of a lot better than any team we have had the last few years.

they won't make a trade on Friday the 13th. Monday seems like a good choice.

Hennigan joined the commentators for the BK/IND summer league game. They were surprised he had time to visit them. Asked about Howard, but he gave the corporate line as expected. Evaluating this and that. He used the same line when asked about the coach search. Not much here, but I was surprised myself that he had time for a summer league commentary booth visit.

I think if we get Howard and he doesn't want to resign here then we'll be forced to do a sign and trade with Brooklyn otherwise he walks. When this is all said and done with, we'll be left with Brooke Lopez and Kris Humphries. Just watch.
