Nope...too many bridges burned...and he's freaked out about being booed there next season, which is a very real possibility. Listening to Orlando columnists talk about it, Dwight needs to go.

Don't trade Montie, Parsons, Lamb, and White.
    That is all

I think he will play too but I don't doubt that he will wait until he is 150% healthy to play. I also don't put it past him to not play.

No. Because in theory, if Dwight goes to Houston, he can leave in a year. I think ultimately, I think he'll settle in and re-sign (the extra $30 million will help), but I have little doubt that Dwight's mentality this month if he comes here will be that it's a "rental" and he can go elsewhere in free agency next summer.

Orlando is done with waffling Dwight. It's either immediate extension or trade. And Dwight's not going to commit five years to a roster that's hopeless and has no clear way to break through. That's why he wanted a trade in the first place.

Dwight will pick Houston (with the option of leaving in a year) over a long-term extension in Orlando, if those are the options.

Is it garbage? Yes. Is attaching a bad salary and getting a couple future first rounders better than nothing? IMO Yes. Just explaining that their are contingencies in place for everything. The whole "Dwight will just walk to Brooklyn" argument is erroneous. He's either going to take less money to go to Dallas, or the Rockets will trade him for cap relief and picks most likely if the S$#% hits the fan. One or the other.

Cmon guys lets be real. The reason Morey made these trades and started stacking up draft picks since Yao went down is for this day. Les Alexander in NO WAY will go n to rebuilding mode. Les wants playoffs back in Houston and another ring before he steps aside. Out of the guys being rumored to leave Parsons is the one i hope stays other than that let these guys go or the Rockets will be a farm system team.

Anything is possible. However, he would SEVERELY damage himself if he did that. Severely. He'd garner a bad reputation for life. With all the talk that Dwight doesn't want to be a villain and has been afraid of it this entire time (talk he may have even opted in to avoid it which I don't buy) I honestly can't see him sitting out just to pout. It also wouldn't ultimately net him what he wants. (Pun intended)

Dwight: Trade me to the Nets!
    Morey: No.
Dwight: Trade me to the Nets or I won't play!
Morey: OK. We'll suspend you without pay.
    Dwight: FINE!
    ---after the season---
Fagan: Dwight, the Nets want you to sign! They have $3.5 million for three years.
Dwight: !!!FU!!BNKBA! Morey! Sign and trade me to the Nets!
    Morey: LOL WUT?

There are better places to trade him to than Brooklyn and I'm not really sure that getting nothing for him is worse than getting Lopez on a max deal and first round picks at at the end of the first round.

    So under this logic...

You would trade Anthony Davis for Dwight Howard rental. I mean after all, what has Anthony Davis proven at this level!? ... right?!?

Your absolutely correct. We all should hope for better deals out there. Just explaining worst case contingencies.

Watching espn this morning it sounds like they are just reporting what we can trade, not that the deal will include all available parts. Keep Parsons is my only request. I'll get over it if they do, but that is a strong defensive front court if they can hold on to him.

it's not logic in a bubble. Anthony Davis is grading out like a Lebron-esque prospect. In no way are Jones, Lamb or White considered to be that sort of a player. Davis is thought of as a franchise player.

Hate to say it but one of these guys if not two is sooo likely to be gone knowing Morey was going to trade two top ten picks if he got them anyway. I feel like you I really don't want to see Lamb go I have a strong feeling he will be great.

Well, that's different. #1 picks typically turn out to be top players. Players picked in the 12-18 range mainly don't turn into NBA superstars.
