I believe Morey and the entire organization will do all they can to keep Howard here and happy. All the Rockets will ask of him in return is to play to the best of his abilities and complete honesty. I don't think it would get to the point where he will have a chance to leave for Dallas, Brooklyn etc. unless he's being traded there.

The Rockets ar potentially giving up a lot to get him here. But we should all know that if Morey had to trade Howard, Rockets would probably get back a lot more than what they gave up.

Yeah, just seems like the only one available seems to be the worst of the bunch.

No, I am not afraid of change, I am afraid of staying the same. That's what Morey is doing here. You just don't see that.

What we really need to do is rebuild. Go through some really bad losing seasons and stop trying to rebuild in no-man's land. I am not knee-jerking, I have been saying this for 4 freakin years!

    4 years!

It's time for us to rebuild, not get a one-year rental that will leave us without picks to rebuild and stuck with bad contracts to keep us stuck in mediocrity.

I want change. I want us to tank.

We aren't medicore right now. We are bad with good young players with potential. If we just play our young guys next year, we get a franchises player In the draft next year to add on with our current young guys.

That's got to be the plan. CP3 or Harden next to Dwight would be excellent.

Huh? You mean that Jeremy Lamb wasn't going to become a DPOY, 1st Team All NBA player and average 20/15/2/2?

What good young players? Our draft picks who have yet to see NBA action, yet everyone automatically qualifies them as "good players"?

I am fine with the rebuild strategy but too many pro-tankers are putting forth this idea that we are definitely going to get a franchise player if we rebuild through the draft. It is not a guarantee whatsoever. You could easily draft a guy that gets injured, busts or maybe worst of all, is good but not great and gets you right back where you were; good enough to maybe make the playoffs but not good enough to win a title and not bad enough to get a high draft pick.

I would put our chances of getting CP3 or Harden at 0.0%

    oh, it's absolutely not risk-free.

I have never argued that he wont leave period, just that it is not a foregone conclusion like so many seem to believe.

The math just doesnt work for the worst case scenario, if he does get here and still cant be convinced, then you SnT to whatever team is willing to give you the best deal.

and to address the guy who thinks Dallas is comparable to NY and LA as markets that will get him larger endorsements? Really?? Nobody mentions Dallas when talking about major media markets. Dallas is barely bigger than Houston as far as tv markets go, they are number 5 and we are number 10....hell, Philadelphia is a larger tv market than Dallas.

How does everyone know that Dwight didn't want to play with does players?! Did he personally tell you that? Maybe it was management he did not like or for other reasons? No one knows!
