    If we land Dwight Howard for that trade I think their is a good chance the Rockets could end up with the #1 overall pick next season. If we can lock down Howard that wouldn't be too bad.

    This deal wont play out till next week. Rockets will send offers to Lin, Omir today. So there is no telling what can happen by next week.

    Ok..here's my thing...we've been mediocre as a team for a while. Now we're just spinning the wheels.

    DH comes this season...we're a 6th seed at best..more like 8th or 9.

    He leaves at the end of the season. For 2013, and 2014...we have no picks...we're stuck in purgatory.

    You cannot pick and choose though........ besides, rebounding and defending is the most important part of being a center.

    A lack of defense and rebounding makes him less than a top 10 center and definitely not a superstar so why in the hell are we even discussing him.

    This thread would be cut in less than half if people would realize Morey is not going to give all that up. Morey isn't perfect, but when has he been fleeced? Ever? Look at what he got for Camby, a player we weren't even going to keep!

    If trade goes through will we absorb some crappy contracts? Yes. But not all of them. If trade goes through will we give up some young talent? Of course, but not all of it. If trade goes through will we give up some draft picks? Yes again, this is where I believe we will give up anything the Magic want. We won't be needing any future draft picks if we land Dwight and have max money later.

    Really, the contracts might not be that bad. Duhon is only guaranteed $1.5M beyond this year. If Jason Richardson can regain any of his mojo from when he was with the Suns/Warriors/Bobcats, than his contract is very moveable. Lastly is Glen Davis, who I think is terrible, and the worst of the contracts.

    ESPN Strategy:

    1) Report deal between Rockets and Magic that no one else reports
    2) Make fun of Rockets for this deal that they report
    3) Decide the Rockets must make a horrible deal to send Dwight to Nets at trade deadline
    4) PROFIT!

    Jason Richardson is a little better Kevin Martin making less money. I have no problem with him. He's a good fit on a team with Dwight to be honest. You need to build the rest of the team better.

    patience ...is something i am trying to employ at the moment. I will give Morey the benifit of the doubt ...that the reported ESPN trade is not accurate.
