Also keep in mind Lee is one of Howard's friends and Dwight was disappointed when he was traded.

True, but couldn't Lee get more $$ as free agent?

My guess is Morey has agreed to take on more salary INSTEAD of including more young talent. If dropping contracts was Orlando's preference, then Morey obliged. If we keep half of DMo, Patterson, Parsons, Lamb, White, and Jones, and still have the ability to add a CP3 or Josh Smith next summer, I will be very satisfied.

Hopeless. Amnesty is crap cause you have to still pay him anyways.

Not a great argument seeing as that has no effect on who we can still sign and be under the cap without that amnestied player's salary on the books. Sure we still pay Scola but it won't effect us too much. I doubt Morey would give ALL of his 7 PF's just for the glut of the Magic team. Chances are we'll retain enough players to do some damage this year.

Let's look at the bright side. The Rockets would be an above mediocre team next season.

i don't get the davis hate. everybody acts like he's a scrub for no reason. the dude has game. he also has a lot of heart and never quits. he played great when kg was injured in boston. and played very well in this years playoffs. he won't be a starter, but he's a great power forward off the bench.

    SO............. UMmmmmmmmm................... Maybe..................... wellllllllllll....................... uuuuughhhhhhhhhhhhh......................

he could have traded him and got something else in return like picks, expiring contracts which he could have bought out cheap for 2012 (paying out 1 year instead of 3 - makes sense right?).

Are you telling me there was no other way to clear cap space? NO son NO. Bottom line - Other GMS could have gotten more in return and still clear cap space.

NO we are going to have to pay Scola and Hedo. IN what parallel universe, dream world or messed up mind is that a good thing?

Even David Kahn could have done better. Morey is pure shyte and thats all there is to it.

Its not like Scola is Haywood, Blatche or Brand. Scola is a crucial piece to a championship caliber team (think Boston or Spurs, imagine if OKC get Scola, imagine if Bulls had Scola insterad of Boozer). Scola can be a vital piece for young upcoming team looking to make playoffs too like the Wiz or Cleveland.

Scola has way too much value to be amnestied. This just means Morey couldnt do better.

Morey couldnt do better? Now how many times has this been the case over the last 2-3 years.

That's a good point, as is Big Baby Davis. I think that these are important factors. If he makes a J Smoov move like I hope he is going to it will surround Dwight with his buddies. I don't see how he leaves his friends, especially for less money elsewhere.

Scola for Diop+Carroll. Then just buy out Diop and Carrol who are in their final years. There is no way Jordan/Cho rejects this. They are rumored to chasing Kris Humpries. Myabe even get a 2nd round pick out of it.

    Muck Forey.

Morey isn't driving the boat here.

    It's Les.

That doesn't clear cap space for an ORL deal. Amnesty does.
