Just saw it on the Chinese forum. The OP lives in the US. He always gives us some good insider stuffs and has a good reputation around the forum. But I must stress that I don't know if this is true so if it didn't happen, DON'T BLAME ME.
First of all, it's Terrence Jones, not "J-Jones." I'm not going to comment on the validity of the source, but just based on the trade that's described, it's obviously a good deal for Houston, but seems too "small" to fit our recent moves (namely, the amnestying of Scola). A move like this, if true, would have gone down a long time ago. To have cleared as much space as Morey has done, we must be taking in more salary than just Duhon and Richardson. TL;DR: unlikely scenario, possibly too good to be true.
They amnestied Luis because they need some room to make make offer to Lin and Asik. Not necessarily because of the trade.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure we could have made the RFA offers without amnestying Scola - if anything, the non-guaranteed contracts would go first. Scola is a last ditch effort to clear cap space that shows our willingness to swallow the contracts of 3 of the 4: Duhon, Davis, Richarson, and Turkoglu.
For easier reading: Orlando receives Kevin Martin Jeremy Lamb Patrick Patterson Terrence Jones Jon Brockman Shaun Livingstone Jerome Jordan 2 future 1st round picks (from Dallas & Toronto) Houston receives Dwight Howard Jason Richardson Chris Duhon 2 future 2nd round picks Perhaps someone who understands the cap can tell us if this trade is allowable.
I'm pretty sure we won't have enough room to make offers if the trade went through. We have to amnesty Scola to make room.
Why does everybody want dwight for a year?We have a great chance to rebuild and we are going to throw it all away. The dude is a whiney girl.I would be happy as hell if he would sign a extension but dude allready said he is leaving for free agency after this year.He will still end up in N.Y.
