When Howard signs an extension and we become contenders with him, i want you all to remember how foolish you guys are for saying the stupid things lately.

Spooner, I think it's safe to say that we don't know anything about Patterson being traded. That report must be wrong.

i could live with a trade that involve Martin + Patterson + Morris + Terrence Jones & 3 first round picks, but if all our youngsters r gone for a washed up & overpaid SG, a washed up PG, an overpaid & undersized PF and an injured superstar that donc want to come here... wtf ? what will we have then to surround howard with talent ? all of our assets would be gone, and we wont go anywhere with the players left ... i'd rather let the youngsters play, at least it would be fun

Wow the fans here are really surprising me with their lack of knowledge and dare i say lack of loyalty too, ofcourse i wont go into how moronic you are for even posting something like that before any trade has actually HAPPPENEDDD!!! And second not only did a trade not happen but we havent amnestied SCOLA YET either, basically you juust showed your true colors even though NOTHING happened which is quite funny..

Now..even though most of your post is based on false information you have blown out of proportions you still said something quite puzzling:
"This is what all our sucky 14th pick years have led up to? An opportunity to trade for a guy that promised to leave at the end of the year?"
So you would prefer another "sucky" as you put 14th pick, no you wouldnt you ignorant moron...

I said earlier that I didn't believe the reported deal, and was going to go to bed, but I can't sleep. This better be some bull **** report, and that's a possibility. You might not want to burn your bridges before letting the dust settle. This would be a rape of epic proportions if this "reported from sources" deal were on the level, but I don't see how it can be. There has to be much more to it. Perhaps another team taking some of Orlando's trash. Maybe not all the young talent tossed away for a rental. Perhaps not all the picks. Something. I simply don't believe the report. If I say that enough times, it might turn out to be bogus. I don't believe the report.

Why don't you go play in traffic, junior.

you're a good poster, but i gotta call you on this. The Scola part--fine, I get it. But he's overpaid given his age and drop in production last year, and he's really the only candidate to use the amnesty on that makes sense (production higher than value). If that helps you get a stud, you gotta do it. Cause Scola is a solid complimentary piece...but without a stud, he's not doing you much except holding you back with his cap hold

But the Chuck part.. come on. We all loved the guy. But "so easy to keep him" ??? If they kept him, that's one more piece that would make it more difficult to acquire a Howard, Smith, Bynum, even Gasol.. we couldn't keep Lee or Camby as RFA's because of cap holds. If we had Chuck, that would be a whole lot more inflexibility. And for what? Chuck is the epitome of a great role player...with no star, he is exactly the kind of player that keeps you at mediocrity

Actually I'm a 17 year old school boy with a dream of seeing a top 5 player on the Rockets! ;)

And unfortunately we have no other way of getting one... it's not like just cause you draft in the top 5 you get a franchise player for all you know we could be stuck being a bottom team for the next 20 years!

If y'all want to suck so bad just root for the bobcats!

How is getting Dwight a bad thing? If he stays, we have our franchise player for many years. If he leaves, we get a VERY high pick the next season, none of this #12, #14 crap. We'll be able to DRAFT a real franchise player ourselves, the highest pick Morey has ever had to work with. Either way, we'll get a franchise player, none of this hoping low first round draft picks turns into stars BS.

LMAO @ all the cowards and crybabies cursing Morey for a trade that will put the Rockets back on the map and on many ESPN/TNT games.

Half this board loves being mediocre and wants to stay status quo for enternity. Well, I got news for you. Trades are gonna happen soon and there ain't a dam thing you can do about it, but keep on crying and begging slave master Morey not to do it. Morey is the warden of the Rockets and he's gonna pull the switch regardless of the crying protesters. These same people will jump back on the bandwagon when the Rockets are having fun and winning. Go be a Utah Jazz fan and never come back you traitors.

People are gonna wake up tomorrow morning and see this monster thread and freak out thinking we got Dwight.

But instead, they'll see people crying about potentially obtaining an alleged crybaby. How funny.

Oops I was trying to say...

What y'all are not getting Is that every single player on our roster Is on it because they give us a shot to get a superstar so them being traded was inevitable... Morey never intended to trot the roster we have now out on the court!

So if morey get this done then his master plan has worked!

All right, I'm done trying to educate you all about how we're not trading the list of guys from the ESPN story. I'm just going to sit here laughing at all of you guys who skimmed the story, saw the names mentioned, and panicked.
