    OH, THE AUDACITY

    Patrick Patterson - 1st rounder
    Marcus Morris - 1st
    Jeremy Lamb - 1st
    Royce White - 1st
    Terrence Jones - 1st

    +

    Toronto's 1st round pick '13
    Houston 1st round '13, or '14

    =

7 first rounders. And a roster much worse than last year's Magic squad with potential to go... nowhere thanks to salary obligations to Jedo, Jrich and big Baby. Surely that will encourage a 1 year rental to stay.

Great article ESPN, you ****ing chumps.

    agreed.

If Heningan turns down this potential offer, then we know their is something bigger at play behind the scenes

I wouldnt be surprised if Morey leaked this info out, because the consenous by the media and the fans after seeing the players involved is that.. Rob Heningan would be stupid not to take this deal. Because he wont get a better offer anywhere else.

Morey is an MIT grad, he is playing the media and the fans to force a trade. If the Magic turn this trade down, the fans and the media of the NBA will smell a consipiracy, or something fishy going on

To me, James and Howard are the two most impactful players in the NBA. They're the only two players that don't need great players around them to advance deep into the playoffs. So, we do the trade and next year the team will make the playoffs, but bow out pretty early, unfortunately. However, the year after that, the Rockets will have a chance to add another significant player and compete for a championship. We don't do the trade and we're looking at perpetual mediocrity. I'm tired of that ish.

    Aaron Brooks/Toney Douglas
    Courtney Lee/Jason Richardson
    Hedo Turkoglu/Manny Harris?
    Donatas Motiejunas/Jon Leuer
    Dwight Howard/Josh Harrellson

Provided we would still have the Toronto and Dallas picks we could use in some way to improve the roster.

How far would this take us?

So... should our players just forfeit that first summer league on Friday? Why take the risk of injury?

I was going to take my two sons to watch the 1st game tomorrow. We may stay at home and watch on NBA TV instead. What is the point in seeing them in person if 3/4 of the team will be gone anyways?

The Rockets were never even rumored to have offered this trade. There is no source reporting that they have offered this trade.

ESPN's "source" is a guy banging on their stupid trade machine app telling people the Rockets have to trade everything on their roster to make the salaries match. And that dude is wrong.

Better watch out, Morey might package your two sons into the deal too.

everyone on here complaining of how much we r giving up just... SHUTUP

If this trade ever happens its been reported that those ppl are prob not the combination we will send out....and anyone really with half a brain would figure out that theres no way in hell we are doing that deal, so instead of writing a panic post that only makes u look stupid, be patient and wait until something actually happens before you slam it...

You may be right. I just read that section again and it seems like they are trying to match salaries via speculation. Or at least I hope. Morey can't be that dumb.

Hey, listen up, not trying to sound rude, but here me out.

You have been one of the few optimists in this thread, which is good. HOWEVER, i doubt, i doubt, i doubt that the proposed trade will include howard signing an extension like you think it will.

IF howard signs an extension, everybody on this forum will be happy, and would gladly give up all those pieces in the proposed deal. however, the reason why many like myself would be pissed if this trade went through is because we would essentially become the houston magic, with howard leaving in the summer.

    Well we better not.

Even the more reasonable posters seem to think this would not be the best of ideas.

I'm guessing it is literally one of their computer guys who tried to make the trade work on the ESPN Trade Machine. That's their whole "source".

Your obviously not thinking for the future. Trading for Dwight is a failure in every aspect
