It sucks, but I think at this stage we couldn't afford to take back additional salary. We are now far enough under the cap to accept a chunk of bad contracts from Orlando (for better or worse). Scola is a Rocket for life in my book. Much love
BAM! <a href="http://s1064.photobucket.com/albums/u374/scuba__steve10/?action=view&current=ScreenShot2012-07-12at95652PM.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u374/scuba__steve10/ScreenShot2012-07-12at95652PM.png" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
I would like to believe our management has some class. Therefore I believe there were offers for Scola, but not from a team that is a contender. This way Scola has time to join up with a contending team, the classy thing to do for a player like Big Luis.
It seems like yesterday when everyone was complaining about Scola's lack of defense and poor overall performance last season. Just saying.
Other than the fact he wanted to stay in Houston, he isn't getting a raw deal (IMO). He is still getting his money and now he can pick another team to go to, maybe one that gives him a good shot at a ring in the next few years. That said, I am sad to see him go. I blame injures for this. Had Yao stayed healthy, Scola probably stays in Houston a lot longer...
Josh smith and harden or Ibaka the OKC FO will have to chose...we should have enough to go after Smith and or Ibaka or Harden...or harden and Paul (if he wanted to bolt LAC)
Just wondering, if a non contending team picks him up, can he refuse to go there? Say he goes back to Europe or to China or something?
I think morey could get rid of a bad contract plus duhon by the deadline-then again what if a change of scenery is what Jrich needs and he stepped up, or duhon actually controls the ball-maybe things can work out as long as it -a. Happens b. Dwight commits to playing all out ball during his contract year (which is almost irrelevant bc he'd be paid the same if he didn't live up to expectations bc of the lack of supply in dominant big guys)
Shoot chuck Hayes prob laughs at the shoe deal Howard thinks is important in BRKLN Lol chuck Hayes is like Brooklyn what? We are talking a country called CHINA
Larry Coon, apparently a credible insider, is on the Lakers Ground message board saying the Dwight Saga is looking like it's over, and it's not the Lakers who got him. Said The story should go up on ESPN shortly. http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=147732&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=21425 http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?p=4590423#4590423
