No. Check out my FAQ thread.

Once amnestied, a team cannot re-acquire the player for the life of the contract.

Yeah a mature person would recognize his options or lack thereof and make the best of things. Unfortunately, Dwight does not strike me as a mature person.

Oh hotballa the fail is strong in you. Do you seriously think the Rockets haven't been shopping Luis? They have been but no one wants a 32 year old defensive liability making 10 million a year. It's really not that difficult to understand.

Do you even try to understand why Morey did this? Frees up cap space and helps us next year as well. Get a grip.

He may not be mature enough to recognize them now, but come free agency he'll have no choice but to recognize them when his agent says to him

"Hey Dwight. Here are the two offers. Houston for 5 years $100 million or Brooklyn 3 years $10.5 million. Which one do you want to sign?"

If we take back Metta from the Lakers, can the Lakers take back salaries from Orlando equal to 150% of Metta's salary? Also, can they take back salaries equal to 150% of Bynum's salary, in a "separate" trade?

    Signed,

....Dwight Howard (talking to his crew about the Orlando Magic after taking a phone call from Dan Hennigan circa 2012)

There is no way we give up so many assets to basically give DH12 to LA. If we give up so much, Houston will be getting Dwight, no one else

Ya "free up cap space", I have been hearing that for a while now.

    For what!?

To say we are going to land another big free agent and then not.

Even if we do "free up cap space" now who do we have to support our ONE big free agent.

Eben if we get Dwight temporarily, he will not have enough talent on this team to go far in the playoffs.

Terrible move, inexcusable any way you look at it.

Shame on those who think Dwights agent won't push for Howard to sign an extension. More money for the both of them.

Question: If a player is getting paid in a state without income tax, does the agent share the same benefit?

I'm hoping it's an either/or scenario where the Rockets could either give a ton of assets or take on bad contracts. If giving up Scola means they get to keep a pick or some young players, how can you be unhappy with that?

And for those unhappy about taking on Orlando's contracts, it's important to remember that they were a 6 seed in the playoffs this year with those players. That's better than where Scola was able to help the Rockets get to.

ESPN just said that the Hawks-Magic talks are heating up. Too bad ESPN is bull****.
