As much of a pipe dream as CP3 is (he's in a good situation in LAC and would also have to turn down more money), I can definitely see Smith here.

I don't see CP3 leaving LA, it is nice to have the cap space for something like that though.

If this were to happen, who wants to bet that Morey will give Stern the middle finger salute?

If we take back Howard, Turk, Richardson, and Duhon we will STILL have very close to max cap room next offseason. If we take back only two of the bad contracts we will easily have max space.

These guys will be in play for 2013 free agency:

    CP3
    Monta Ellis
    Andre Iguodala
    Manu Ginobili
    David West
    Paul Millsap
    Al Jefferson

Yes LA is Kobe and the Lakers city not Clippers. I see him and Dwight in Houston next year.

If CP3 didn't want to sign here Smith, Millsap, or Iggy would be a nice consolation prize. 2-way players ftw!

He was gone even if we don't get Dwight. He would be disrupting the development of Dmo or our other post players

While we may all love Scola, he had a supremely untradeable contract. The escalating payscale as he gets older is going to be a killer. However, he's getting all his money from us, and he's getting the opportunity to go sign with a contender. On top of this, amnestying him is giving us the chance to pull in Dwight, AND go after another big name this next off-season. It's not that difficult to see.

With that said, we will miss you Luis. Best of luck wherever you end up!

If Griffin's knee is not 100% all year and they lose in the first round why would he stay? I know I'm dreaming but it's worth the gamble

A 32 year old player with 3 years left on his contract has no place on a team that's rebuilding through the draft.

Team up with another superstar duh.

He might not pass up the $$$ though. But there are plenty of other players we could go after, as I listed.
