That is not 100% correct. Scola still counts on payroll. Team minimum payroll has to be 80% of salary cap for this season. Just in case the freaky happens and Howard fails physical, Les won't have to pay some schmuck a 20 million dollar (overestimation) 1 year deal to just meet minimum payroll. Scola doesn't count against cap or luxury tax.
Rockets if they take back bad contracts...will not be giving away lottery picks...just imo...ORL either had a choice...picks...or bad contracts... ORL i guess has chosen to move bad contracts...Look for the Rockets to have some decent talent left!
David Aldridge: Source says "multiple factors" will be at work in Rockets' decision. Obviously looking to see if there's a way to do DH12 deal another way. now Read more: http://hoopshype.com/twitter/media.html#ixzz20S19f4Me
So, how does the amnesty bidding work? The Rockets have to pay the difference between his new salary and his old salary, correct?
Bah, this sucks. I guess we are taking on 3 horrible contracts as well as giving up the farm for Dwight. I hope we only take 2 of those contracts, let them keep Turk's.
Well it would have to be as a PTBNL if we sent out Moti Also he's been having some minor back thing going on I wouldn't be surprised if we held onto him, but I wouldn't be surprised at anybody we traded though.
I know, they get a super player for chips and next year they can bring Paul and Howard in free agency to play with Dirk and Scola
