This is true. But if there is one thing Morey (until now) has been good at is getting some excellent role players. I belive the cast around yao and Tmac was top notch, and if they didn't go down, we should've won a ring or 2.
Better odds that he sticks than if the Rockets getting a player of his caliber if they lost every game for next three years.
i don't see what's wrong with this? why are people complaining, scola was in deep decline and we were paying him as if he was an all-star player. i love you scola and what you've done for the this team and this city, but I am not going to pretend that Scola was so important to our team, that we needed to pay him that much money for someone who will struggle to put 15-8 next season.
I'm still surprised the Lakers didn't bite. I think a year of LA would have been hard for Dwight to resist.
This move was obviously to make way for Dwight and the gang. Sad thing is, we had no takers for Luis. Hope he ends up with a contender.
I am almost certain that the Rockets will only take back Duhon and JRich with Howard...Turk is ORL problem... Getting ready...big time news coming...and guess what Doc Rocket its a Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know, it's kind of stupid. They don't have the pieces to win again, they're just going to put themselves on the exact mediocrity treadmill whose name Cuban coined.
I think so. They may have signed some under-the-table agreements... This is Hennigan's first signature move. I don't think he will risk his reputation...
Maybe, maybe no. Primarily, it is a matter of the situation that Houston is facing: needing to create cap space in a short amount of time to pursue Dwight Howard and teams who know this wanting to exact a toll for helping the Rockets out. See what happened to the Kris Humphries discussion with that Nets/Orlando trade-- teams like CLE wanted to receive a 1st round pick to do the favor of signing K-Hump to even a 1-year guaranteed deal. Does it mean that Humphries is not worth his potential contract, even on a 1 year basis? Not really. It's just how teams leverage each other. With Scola, I certainly don't think he's underpaid like Lowry is, but teams would probably have given the Rockets some minor expiring contracts for him (the Nets offered to do so, until they had to trade all their expirings to ATL for Joe Johnson) maybe even a small consideration or something. However, I think the Rockets do not even want expiring contracts back for Scola, just pure cap room needed to create cap space to complete the ORL trade. That limits the # of trade partners out there and it allows these teams to ask that HOU give up something (a draft pick or whatnot) to use their cap room. HOU would rather keep that something and use the amnesty to create cap room.
That was my thought, I hope he takes the MLE and signs with them. I hope to see Luis win a ring as long as it's not against us.
