If you haven't figured it out by now idiot boy Afghanistan is the war we should have been fighting the whole time and would be over by now if chimpy mcflightsuit hadn't taken his eye off the real enemy.
And Obama the warrior surged it up! What a POS! Democrats must hate him for it...oh wait...just like the war on drugs they are just filled excuses for their cultish savior.
Obviously more troops in Afghanistan would die during Obama's tenure... Why are you comparing Bush's Afghan numbers with Obama's? It should be Bush's Iraq numbers with Obama's Afghan numbers. This is ridiculous.
As usual I wonder why Hightop spends all his time criticizing Obama for the very things that Romney and the GOP are almost always worse on. You would think if he actually was involved with the issues he employs to attack Obama, civil liberties, drug war, war and peace, he would at least have noted once that Romney is not great on these issues. Sometimes I think that he is another a GOP plant who likes to use "libertarian" memes to fool folks or he is a naive kid who has read Atlas Shrugged three times during his breaks from high school. Most of the time I think he is just a typical southerner, sort of socially liberal, watching Fox whose politics is basically resentment of educated liberals.
One thing you can always count on, like death and taxes, is right-wing white America's fear of the black man......
It's should be Obama's numbers and policies with Obama's numbers and policies with. Won't happen with the Obama Cult.
A cult is how you refer to a minority fringe group. Pew: Obama Leads By 7, Beats Romney On The Economy Obama breaks 50% for second month in a row. I don't think you understand how it works.
Hightop, seeing as how you're an anarcho-capitalist (albeit masquerading as a "libertarian"), and you see over-liberalization as the cause for everything bad in this country... When do you suppose everything started to go wrong? The end of Bretton-Woods in 1971? The beginning of the U.S. hegemony in 1945? The election of FDR in 1933? The start of the Great Depression in 1929? The establishment of the Federal Reserve in 1913? The suspension of habeas corpus and consolidation of executive power in 1861?
It ceases to surprise me the extent to which some Obama apologists will go in defending a track record that has been at best mixed and at worst, nothing short of a disaster. Obama was wise to pull out of Iraq, but his insistence on ramping up the war in Afghanistan was a huge mistake. If we've learned anything by now, it should be that the US need demonstrate more restraint when waging war, particularly against countries plagued by tribal splits, sectarian conflicts, ethnic tension, and political corruption. I firmly believe we will look back and wonder how the most prosperous and wealthy nation in the world allowed itself to be bogged down for over a decade in a costly war that very early on showed little to no prospect for success in any meaningful way, and at this point even nominal political reconciliation in Afghanistan is looking highly unlikely. Despite all our efforts, the Taliban remain a force in Afghanistan, and absent a permanent and visible American military presence in Afghanistan, instability will remain in Afghanistan for the foreseeable future. Whether Neoconservative fanaticism or Liberal interventionism, reckless militarism without any clear long term (or even short term) objectives still reign supreme when it comes to defense policy. An obviously problematic expansion of Bush's policies has been the Obama drone program, an unprecedented program that transformed drone operations from an occasional, strategic, and occasionally used tactic to a ubiquitous, normative weapon, leveraged against anyone that can conceivably seen as a terrorist, with little to no consideration of its efficacy or long term damage. Needless to say, an even more questionable and highly problematic conception of the Obama administration was the usage of such tactics on American Citizens.
