Heard the commute from the Woodlands into downtown is at least 3 hours today.

    Suckers.

Safe to say the drought is now history.

Last year, some "experts" were predicting it would last up to 10 years. LOL...

    Yeah, not quite...

The commute in this morning was pretty bad. Can you post that pic of you dressed as Marilyn Monroe again? The HOV lane was flooded so I missed my connecting bus downtown and had to wait 20 minutes in the rain for the next one.

anyone heading downtown from Pearland? 288 always seems to turn into a lake around the ramp near 610

This isn't stopping and it's only giving the mosquito's roids. It's gonna be hell when the sun comes out one day.

Getting hammered in Magnolia. 13" of rain since yesterday morning.

I am 100% trapped at my house. Can't even get 100' from my driveway due to a bridge being 4' under water.

    This stinks.

No kidding. Throwing hubby a bday party next Saturday and the party will be outside. I guess I need to go to Home Depot and stock up on OFF! candles :\

I'm sorry. :( Hopefully, the rain will let up today so the water will recede.

I'm a fan of the rain and all, but I'm supposed to go fishing on Sunday, early in the morning, so this looks like it might ruin those plans.

This is a great time to check out the grading of your yard which is more important than the thousands people spend on 'irrigation'. If you have spots that are holding more moisture than other they will surely get fungus and turn brown. Not many Texans are familiar with this so keep an eye out to after the heavy rain to see standing, trapped water and make a note or even mark it. You can slowly build it up yourself with compost or have it professionally fixed.

Either way, a properly graded yard will be useful in times of little rain as it will allow the entire yard to evenly take advantage of the rainfall we get.
