It's funny people are posting Fosters as every Australian I've talked to said they hated Fosters and it wasn't very common in Australia. The Aussie beer I saw a lot is: Also forgot Paul Kelly who many Aussies recommended I should listen too. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Gsm82xc43Oo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Even though half the band is from England and the drummer's a Kiwi this is your country's greatest export! Still going strong after 30 plus years. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/sl1XFiWDaqY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I did quite a bit of research into moving to Australia when i finish with school. My dream is to live somewhere near beautiful beaches. I don't know if it's realistic in Australia though. Seems only rich people get to live that life and all the rest of us can do is visit.

I just recently visited Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne. I loved it and want to visit again. The only bad thing I have to say is that everything was extremely expensive... I'll post some pics I took from my phone. Sydney: View from my hotel room. This is one of the pictures from when I climbed to the top of the Sydney Bridge. Great experience. Bondi Beach Brisbane: SunCorp Stadium, where the Brisbane Broncos play. At a Broncos game vs South Sydney On the wheel of Brisbane... you can see the cricket ground in the distance. Melbourne: Healesville Sanctuary Melbourne Cricket Ground Flinders Street Station That basically sums up the best things I saw in Australia. I definitely recommend going there. Best trip I have ever taken.
rocketsjudoka - that is gold, and encapsulates Perth perfectly. Love the bogan with the ute. One small correction though - I'm pretty sure the girl's name would be "Shazza", not "Shazzy".
Queensland, anywhere North of Brisbane, or W.A. I live in Sydney...south of Sydney, the Woloongong, kiama and Nowra areas are beautiful, and pretty cheap.
I spent about 6 weeks there a couple of years ago, and it was an awesome experience. Brisbane, Cairns, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne. All fantastic places to visit, with fantastic people. And the girls.....daaaamn.
I'll be in Sydney for a couple of days next month. Can you recommend a couple of pubs or a decent area to hang out for the evening? Also I suppose it will be way too cold to visit Bondi beach?
Is there any diversity north of brisbane? I assume it's not that bad of a drive from those areas to somewhere like Sydney?
One of things I disliked about Australia was how segregated the country still is. There was a different image of the country when speaking to immigrants and people of Aboriginal descent. Although I only spoke with about 5 people about this in different parts of the country, reading numerous accounts by others on the Internet shows there is something to Australia having a racist aspect. Other than that and how expensive it was, Australia is a beautiful country. It is incredibly empty in the interior and the coastal cities, and a great place for driving a car or ute.
The Lord of the Rings was filmed in New Zealand. Nice pics ScolaIsBallin. I will have to post my pics sometime.
