So...did we officially make an offer yet or no? Has the 3-day clock to match started for the Knicks yet or not?

If the Rockets wanted to increase the offer since it has not been turned in yet, could they?

Maybe the Rockets haven't made the official offer to Lin yet because they want the Orlando trade to happen first, and getting Lin would interfere with getting Howard (and the Pips)?

As the offer sheet has not been signed, I think it would be wise to significantly increase the amount offered over the previously reported 28 million. Lin would be a great PG for this team who will only get better, and at the worst, NY gets stuck with a bigger cap hit. Let's stick it to them for all we can.

How does sticking it to the knicks help the rockets?

Offer him 58 million cuz the knicks have no choice to match. They will have a buldging luxury tax bill.

It would make it harder for them to compete for free agents--taking off a big destination from the FA market over the next few years.

3-year deal worth $8.36M annually, not 4-year deal like rumored. Interesting.

LOL! They're going to match $15m in year 3? Can they even do that? I'm pretty sure that's not a team option anymore.

Can only amnesty people who you had under contract when the CBA was signed. Anyone traded or signed after that can not be amnestied.
