You're not a troll, anyone who would claim so is an idiot who has no understanding of your history on this board. I have nothing but respect for you and hope that you take what I'm about to say without getting defensive

You're crazy! Not one single GM in the league would take Scola over Bynum. To think so is lunacy.

3001 posts and we've gone nowhere. This waiting is getting old.

People are really searching for something to complain about if they start bringing up Andrew Bynum's three point attempts... I mean, seriously. He shot 1 three pointer in two straight games last year, and all of a sudden people think it's a problem.

Bynum shot 5 three pointers total last season... Scola shot 3.

    Get a grip.

    Time = pressure, right?

The calculation may be that man-child Dwight is less able to play chicken with GM's and will crack while they are just settling in for the siege.

If he can get Dwight to crack on his refusal to extend with anybody but Brooklyn, the increased returns would more than offset losses caused by delays.

Bynum is 24. Scola is 32. Bynum is over 7 feet, and Scola is 6'9", if that. Of course no GM would take Scola. But that's not what I argued. I think Scola is a better player right now. How good would Scola be if we could keep him in a potential Howard trade? He would get so many open looks.

Bynums got Scola on height, age, and defense and ill give Bynum the rebounds after this season. Scola has Bynum everywhere else.

Just my thoughts. I don't think the disparity between the two players is that great.

I'm going back to lurker mode now. I just didn't like the overwhelming preference for Bynum in this thread and I wanted to speak up. I think it would be a huge mistake to trade for Bynum and then overpay him to a long term deal when we dont already have a Kobe here. I hope we get Howard! How awesome would that be!

It's not the physical 3-point shot itself, it's the (apparent) blatant disregard for coaching and attitude/ego that has people worried. It could have been any number of on-court activities, as long as they were bad decisions and made to be defiant to Mike Brown.

My source tells me that Orlando/LA will make a team deal next week.

Dwight will settle for LA,and Bynum will sign the ext with Orlando.

Pretty sure those three were last second heaves. I saw every game and do not remember Scola ever spotting up for a three during an offensive set.

Assuming you heard the Hennigan press conference quotes, nothing since then. Though it's a bit curious that the Rockets haven't sent out the Lin/Asik offer sheets by now.

This is because most fans are gullible towards ESPN hype, and forget common sense. Everyone except a few "insiders" have basically said the Nets deal would be craptacular for the Magic. So how can they be serious about it if it's utter crap? Whether Orlando kept the Nets thing going as a ruse against Dwight, or as leverage against other teams, I have no clue. All I know is that if he thought he could get a better deal because of this charade, he failed miserably. No other teams, especially the Lakers and Rockets, caved in and gave him everything.

If you actually take the Nets out of the equation, this was never suppose to take this short a time. And there was no reason to get worked up about this artificial deadline that didn't really mattered in the first place.

Lol. Even better question, will anybody hold him to it if something other than that happens? Sadly, most, if not all of us, will have forgotten.

That being said, I hope your source is wrong D12.

    Agreed 100% its sickening.

They know deep down the Rockets have a legit chance to land either Dwight or Bynum, but they keep beating a dead-horse with the Brooklyn Nets
