He's still going to the Nets by the deadline then and staying with the Magic. It's time for Morey to try for some1 else.

Please tell me how he plans on ending up with the Nets when they have NO CAP SPACE TO SIGN HIM??

 

This is great news. Howard needs to know he can not be traded to the Nets. Now he has to settle. Either be a 34 year old Kobe's Robin or be #1 in Houston.

Or the Magic force him to come up with a new list of teams.

 

Poor baby didn't get what he want. LOL

 

The Magic could wait to see how Brook Lopez plays this season. They would have to take the risk of Howard saying he will be out until the trade deadline thus plummeting his trade value.

 

I'd like to believe that Dwight would have more scruples than that though. He would literally be the absolute MOST hated player in all of American sports, and for good reason if he pulled a stunt like that. I would hope that the other NBA teams would band together and blackball him if something like that happened.

 

And the asking price plummets.

Houston, just get out of the way while Orlando shoots themselves in the foot.

What will I give you for maybe a partial season with Dwight Howard? How about the 8th PF at the end of my bench and a bag of peanuts?

 

Perhaps they move some players to create some space.

IDK about their cap situation because I honestly don't give a f......but it sounds like he wants to play there pretty bad, so I wouldn't be too suprised if he signed there.

 

Let's be serious here. You know we will throw in a large soft drink too.

This is just a formality to force Dwight to expand his horizons to other teams that he would openly sign an extension with. Might take 2 or 3 days to hear anything but in a few days someone is going to announce that Dwight is now saying that he would be open to playing in X city, or Y city.

My guess is the Clippers are going to be that team. Not sure if Houston will get the callup or not from Dwights camp, but I wouldn't count on it. I think its more likely that he requested to go to a team that already has a proven star unfortunately.

 

Man this Dwight nightmare has to hurry up and end. Seriously, Morey just need to understand that if he somehow has the best offer for Orlando, Dwight Howard is not going to stay. If he's trying to trade Dwight during the deadline, the Rockets are not going to get that much back anyway. They probably get less than what they traded for him in the first place. The Rockets are better off keeping their Toronto protected lottery pick and their high lottery pick for next year if they were smart and let the young players develop instead of trying to be in the middle again. Im sure if the Rockets roll out with this current team, they will be in the top 5 lottery for sure. Maybe they'll be lucky and get the number 1 pick. You'll never know, if they do get the top 5 pick, plus the Toronto protected lottery pick, thats a great start to rebuilding a team rather than giving all that up for a guy that is going to leave this team within a year anyway.

 

like they are gonna hold onto him until the season starts... give me a break. they will hold off on talks now and make the rockets and lakers get a bit more antsy. but we all know that dwight isn't starting the season with them.
