Whaaa? Why would they want out of his contract? Or does Dwight want out? This is really confusing.

Q-Rich? In addition to one of the bad contracts, ie J-Rich or Davis or only just Q-Rich?

Will you guys shut the heck up with the Bynum-Dwight argument!??!

    It's a Win-Win for us..

Dwight Howard is CLEARLY the best center in the league, and NOBODY doubts that, He leads almost every stat among big men.. they don't lie.. However, as a team, having the Best player in the league means we will be spending way more $$$.. There's about a 25% chance that he will stay with us if we make the move, He says its 0%.. but let's be real here.. there is a glimmer of hope.

Andrew Bynum is CLEARLY the second best center in the league, and NOBODY comes close to that.. He was 2nd in rebounding, 5th most blocks, 5th in PPG among true Centers, the only people that come close are Jefferson and Bargnani (debatable center)

Bynum IS NOT as epic of a player as Dwight Howard, But he is in fact an All Star and the second best Center in the league, that is A GREAT PIECE TO BUILD AROUND..

Not to mention he is 24 years old.. keep in mind your man crush Roy Hibbert is 25, the idiot Javale Mcgee is 24, and everyone else even worth comparing to Bynum is at least 3-4 years older.. And Dwight Howard as a 24 year old is Slightly better then Bynum now.

John Wall and Kyrie Irving are NOT top 5 point guards, however you would build around them, as we should build around bynum..

However having Howard would still be pretty awesome.

Dwight probably wants out of it to become a FA. Although I think Brooklyn is out of the picture, so he'd be looking at Dallas I guess? Atlanta? I don't know.

    can someone explain to me.

why is giving him the max contract different to sign and trade in terms of being able to move him?

I mean, if they sign him for the sign and trade, doesn't that mean they offered him a contract. So why is it a sign and trade contract can be moved and an offered contract can't?

anyone get what i mean?

I don't know where Howard could go if he got out of his contract. Does he really want to play in mediocre Dallas that much more than in Houston? (What an ass, if so.) What other teams even have cap space now--I thought any of the ones which would be remotely appealing destinations, had already filled it.

Sign and trade would be a max with only 4 years I believe, just signing him for their own max is 5 years which makes the no trade rule apply.

Nets were going to take back Jason Richardson, Earl Clark, and Howard, if I recall Bucher correctly. Short memory, ha. I also wanted to say he said Duhon too but don't quote me on that. Those first 3 for sure. Bucher then said they wanted them to take Quentin back too. So basically trying to dump most of their bad contracts.

Dallas is out with Kaman signing.

Rockets, Bobcats, Cavs, Magic, and Hawks would be only potential destinations I believe.

In a sign and trade, the signing MUST be accompanied by a trade.
In a regular signing of a new contract, you may not be traded for 90 days iirc

Dwight's very afraid coming here because of the money he would walk away from and now there's not a place he can run off to that's not in a better position that us. I just hope that he doesn't act like a gigantic punk and become a locker room cancer.

Dallas is out because they signed Kaman(and don't/won't have enough money for Howard) or Dallas it out because they signed Kaman and now have a center?

If it's the latter, I say doubtful. That'd be like saying Houston is out because they signed Asik.

Hmm, Bucher was just on ESPN stating LA was "in the pole position". He also could barely get anything out of his mouth.

I don't think the Hawks even have quite max room. I think they have like 1 or 2 million less than the max.

Didn't Bucher also so there was an 80% chance Dwight was going to Brooklyn?

No cap space. Still have amnesty, but only cutting Dirk would give them the space they need (would have about $9M cutting Haywood).

I think adding Kaman makes them not have enough room

Still have amnesty to get under the cap.
