Hasn't the "X player gets more in NYC or LA from Y company" myth been debunked a million times? Or am I just imagining all that?
how about billions of Asian fans that could buy his shoes. I mean really? it's a game of basketball! the greedyness is so evil. how much money does he need? jesus. he's already gonna get paid millions just to play a game!
I so wish Lance would let the guy finish his answers. He sometimes still thinks the reason guests come on the program is to listen to Lance. 3 stations and he still has figured it out.
I don't think so since Rose inked a deal for $200+ million. Chicago being the third best destination for shoe deals. There's a big drop off for deals in other markets such as Houston.
love this man . he is the only one that shows Houston Love in that line of work he is in. He is like the modern day Lenin, Exiled by Lex but he continues to praise red nation. God bless him. JVG forever!
It may have been debunked in general, but star NBA players have language in their shoe deals that say something very close to "deal is worth an additional $50M if player plays on a team in NY." It should be concerning to the league that they are being seen by some players as nothing more than a gateway to a shoe deal since those deals can be worth up to 2.5 times more than the league itself is allowed to pay them.
Seriously, a shoe deal would be the deal breaker. Too bad the Chinese shoe company does not have the kind of pull it seems like Adidas and Nike have on the league.
