Yes. They aren't going to let him leave. Lopez just got the max.

Jeff Van Gundy comments on the Howard/Rockets situation from 790

Perception players don't want to come here is erroneous. Houston doesn't have players to attract other players for the Buddy System

Howard doesn't want to come here because his shoe deal is more if he goes to New York or LA

Loves Morey is not deterred by Howard's demands

Thinks Bynum or Howard would resign because none of the teams he wants to go to has cap space.

Better than Billups? Chauncey was very good in 04.

I agree about Pau and Smith. I don't like them either.

For the Rockets, Bynum shouldnt even be considered. He's fools gold. Don't fall for it. It's Howard mixed in with some vets and win over 50 games or rebuild with young guys and we need to go 23-59 next season.

    You don't build around Bynum.

no 5th year? Does this mean Brooklyn can still trade him for Howard?

Bynum a role player? Your silly bro, Bynums the most gifted offensive big in the game right now plus he's 24 and did I mention he's also the biggest player in the league. You guys act like Bynum is some slouch on defense this is the same guy who tied Hakeem for blocks in a playoffs game to go along with his triple double. Bynum Is a top 10 player in the NBA and at worst 2nd best big man in the game. I don't see how u guys would t give up anything and everything on the roster to attain him. I don't know if y'all have been watching but we've been the best non playoff team 3 yrs running nobody on our team right now is even remotely close to his level of play and our team sucks so were not breaking up a contender for him. The only player the rockets need to retain In a trade for Bynum is Royce white everybody else can kick rocks for Bynum. I dnt care how much heart scola has I love hi
Too but I'm a Houston rockets fan and this team not cool right now it's time to make a move ASAP.

On the phone set for the run ons

19 pts (on 56% shooting), 12 rbs and nearly two blocks a game while only taking 13 shots is definitely a star Center. Factor in his age and the fact that he is the third option on his team and labeling him with superstar potential is more than fair.

What makes anyone think that Howard likes the Rockets any more than he likes the Magic? Wouldn't the Magic just let him stay there the whole season, and hold onto his $30m more money rights and hope he stays for the money in Orlando? Why wouldn't the Magic just pull a Morey themselves since they already have Dwight? If reports of Howard hating us are true, however irrational they are, then wouldn't the Magic see themselves as superior options for Dwight to take the max money with?

I don't see how a Williams, Johnson, and Lopez team will ever compete against Wade, James, Bosh, Allen, Lewis, and Battier. My guess is the Nets are about as successful as the current Knicks.

    This ain't over

But I could see that if Howard cannot possibly get to Brooklyn, and he has to sign a max deal with a team he doesn't really want to play for, he might as well do it in Orlando. For one, he's got a nice house there.

And he gets to pick his own coach.

(we were gonna let him design new uni's)
