    Ofcourse, I was expecting this. The deadline was only for a deal with BK. They will now drag this out to try and get more.

    Negotiating ploy or are they really not going to trade him this offseason?

    All right dudes, show's over. Let's get back to work. Freaking Orlando is a mess.

    Thankfully my boss JUST came in so I can focus now.

    I'm a little skeptical of Alex Kennedy and poopsworld. But, meh. The longer they drag it out, the less leverage they have.

    The Nets cap space is non existant, as we all know. Therefore, how could they even expect to even sign Howard after next year? Say hypothetically the Russian decides he will pay the 2013 luxury tax. Each year that tax is going to increase with direct proportion to a % ammount that the cap is exceeded. This under the new CBA simply makes the tax much much more expensive, up to 200% of an overhaul, or 2$ or every 1$ above the cieling. basically pokhorov (sp?) would be paying two max contracts in luxury tax alone, which IMO is absurd, Like throwing pennies in a wishing well (only millions).

    So how can Howard make such demands? Seems to me if we get him, there is no reason he will not remain in Houston, where else will he go? No other team will be able to offer him that 5 year plus an extra 3.5% a year increase which compiles to a multitude of millions that even a moron kid like Howard cant turn down???? (correct me if I am wrong please)

    Lets get Bynum, he is the lesser of two evils, and at least his antics are on the court, effort based (although he does take plays off in LA) and heart driven. He is more 'coachable' IMHO.

    More....

    @JRudolphSports

    Sources: Magic GM Rob Hennigan told Howard the team tired to make a deal but none of the offers met the team's satisfaction.

    This is good news.

    The Nets deal is officially dead, as we all knew it would be.

    Now the Rockets have all the leverage and time in the world.

    Morey is licking his chops. Bynum or Howard?

    Which one do I taaaaaake?

    My guess: I think Donatus will be part of the deal so we are going to have to wait until next month to watch the deal get finalized.

    The Magic informed Dwight Howard that they are suspending trade talks, according to source. Orlando will now focus on their coaching search.
