The only problem with the Atlanta package is that it makes Orlando a mediocre team. What good does that do them? With Horford and Teague they will be a playoff team in the east but nowhere good enough to beat Miami or Boston.

Same, I'm super anxious at the moment.

This feel so bad, especially if our excitement is just setting us up for disappointment in the end. :(

Ask Kevin McHale about waiting to trade a big man for a long time - it's how he turned Kevin Garnett from Al Jefferson and Rajon Rondo to Al Jefferson, Gerald Gren,Sebastian Telfair.

I know Dwight has burned a lot of bridges in Orlando, but if he really hates Houston and is faced with Houston or Orlando, couldn't he go back to them and say "I will sign for another 5 years now"? Orlando would probably forgive him at that point. Bucher is a tool on this story, but maybe he's so adamant that Houston is a non-factor because he's been told that Dwight would rather re-sign with Orlando than go to Houston?

610 is getting ready for a shift change. Every show it seems on 610 in their last segment they talk about pop culture or whatever before the next show comes on

Do you think there is more to say about this than has already been said... Everyone is talking while Hennigan makes his mind up

Orlando's GM just got this job and whatever move he makes he will get blamed for not getting enough. Terrible situation for him to be in. He is playing hardball with Houston because he knows there is a good chance they will top the bid. He's been using the Nets as leverage this entire time. He wants Bynum, but if he does trade for him and he bails after putting Orlando through the same drama then he will be fired for getting nothing.

He knows trading with the Rockets is the safest bet. He has no leverage. The do not want to have Dwight Howard on the roster on opening day. Dwight loses value because he will take his time to come back from back surgery. Half a year rental is worth less than a full year, so a trade deadline deal is not something they want. The very last thing they want is Howard on the roster at the end of next season because he can walk for nothing and that forces them to take whatever they can get for him, losing all leverage.

Magic wouldn't want to deal Hedo/JRich for Scola straight up though because it's a literal move for them because they will still be stuck with a 3 year long term contract.

We wouldnt be able to take on any of their bad contracts then. At least Scola is serviceable with his contract...Hedo makes more and isnt nearly as effective.

If KM is the big salary from the Rockets, then we wouldnt be taking anything back other than Dwight.
