"I've done a lot of soul-searching and I've talked to my family and friends. It was a hard decision but... "I'm sending Dwight's talents to Southeast Texas."

If I'm Morey, my tactic at this point is delay, delay, delay...

The longer you wait, the more leverage Orlando loses.

Of course they will ask for a lot in the beginning to establish the ceiling. Time to shake them down. They have no leverage.

Horford looks a lot better at that price than Brook Lopez though doesn't he? Heck, if we could nap Bynum or Howard I would love to take Horford off Atlanta's hands.

Good, Morey will have Orlando by the balls.

i don't think we HAVE to give up that much. And also if you offer a "choice" of Parsons, Patterson, Morris or Jones...don't you think they'd jump on Parsons? Those 4 to me are not equal. if you said choice of Morris, Jones, Patterson, Lamb then maybe I get the multiple options.

    Get Bynum now!!!

BTW, Bynum blocked as many shots per 36 as Dwight did last season.

That's true...but with each passing day, the Magic lose more and more. Come trade deadline, how many strong offers are they going to get for a couple months of Dwight Howard? Certainly less than they can get now.

The best deal for the Magic would have been Houston's 3 first round picks a couple weeks ago, along with Lowry, KM, etc...

Tick tock...they need to make a decision soon.

Good for the Rockets, bad for the fans. My F5 button can't take much more abuse. The paint's already starting to wear off. Now it looks like it says C-Upside down 'L'.

All this reminds me of the scene in Moneyball where Billy Bean is doing the trade deadline trades and calling different GMs to mess up other trade offers so they have the best deal.

    Question on 3-Way Trade LAL,ORL,HOU

I’m not sure if the salary would add up and please delete this thread if its been discussed already.

If this trade goes down what's stopping Morey from holding the Lakers by the balls and say we want Gasol and Bynum since technically we will be facilitating the bulk of the trade by giving away our salary, rookies and future first round picks. I tried using ESPN Trade Machine but it haven’t updated the info with all the movement we did during the draft. I personally think it would seem right that the Rockets get a little more incentive than just receiving Bynum since technically we could possible get him at the trade deadline or free agent.

One a side note is it just me or have Morey program the media in using the word "assets" versus players. Im starting to see that word in describing our players more and more via local radio, ESPN and NBA TV

    They still have some leverage/

They can just not deal him right now--wait until the deadline, or even until after the season is over and SnT him to where he clearly wants to go, Brooklyn.

Or call his bluff like we'd be planning to do, because where else is he gonna go.

And the better chance another team swoops in with a solid offer that Orlando wouldn't turn down.

We have a chance to get him now. Odds are it's stupid nit-pickings with Morey and Hennigan. I just want something done. I'm sick of all this drama and suspense.

    PG: Livingston, Fortson
    SG: Martin, Lamb
    SF: Parsons, Morris, White
    PF: Scola, Patterson, Jones
    C: Motiejunas

That's a god-awful roster. I want the deal done now so we can start looking at the remaining available free agents and shape our roster around Howard.

Houston has the leverage once the Nets deal is off the table.. hell they probably have it even with it still on the table. All Morey has to give them is 1 piece more than Atlanta and whoever else is offering. You don't have to give them everything just because you have it.

I wonder what LA could throw in prospect or pick wise to help lessen the burden? Taking back a contract to help us out is great, but Orlando isn't going to to take less prospects/picks just because it is a 3 way deal.
