    To me this seems like a no-brainer, if the only way to avoid being taken to the cleaners is to get Bynum, then we go that route. I don't want Howard if we will have to completely gut the roster of young players and draft picks.

    I'm with you. I would prefer Howard, but would take Bynum as long as we don't give up a lot for him.

    If we take Bynum instead, we'd likely give up muchless (picks, players). We'd also not have to be burdened with all of Orlando's bad contracts. We could retain more and build around Bynum quicker.

    So lets say Lopez signs with the Nets and any sign and trade involving Orlando/Brooklyn is dead...

    At that point, why not offer the Magic one less prospect or one less draft pick? Who else would be in the running? We could totally lowball the Magic at that point, since they would have no leverage.

    Nothing is too much when you are trading for THE BEST CENTER IN THE NBA. How is that so hard to understand. No one on this roster should be safe except for Motiejunas, and thats only because he cannot be traded till December.
