Dwight's trying to do everything he can to scare us off. There's nowhere else big for him to go to now if he does leave via FA. Plus he leave too much money on the table. I'm concerned that he may act like a little punk and be a locker room cancer because he didn't get what he wanted.

Basically, the clock on the Nets option is running, either because the Nets are losing patience or because other teams are now allowed to sign Lopez an offer sheet (either because they want him or for tactical reasons as a Rockets offer sheet may be for).

Hennigan won't be able to use the Nets as leverage against the other teams for long. And if he loses that leverage, he may get significantly worse offers than he would with it.

I believe that if Howard were traded to the Rockets and then refused to sign an extension - choosing instead to walk away after one year, it's been posted here that he'd be leaving approx. $25M on the table by doing so.

yes! Gasol will immediately put us squarely into the #13 pick; which is not the #14 pick. Very exciting!

$50+ million if he planned on resigning another max after 4 years when he's 30.

If Toronto wouldn't have been such little girls at the draft, we'd all be in hear drooling over Drummond's upside, not worrying about this mess. #beast

Justin Rogers: "I believe Andre Drummond has more blocked shots in three Summer League games than any Pistons had in 66 regular season games last year."

Isnt it still a soft cap? Meaning any teams that go over just pay the luxury tax? Which wouldnt be a big deal to Prokhorov (or however it's spelled)

    Difference in interpretation Hillboy

You read that as anti-Rockets while I read that as him making it apparent he highly preferred going to the Nets. I don't see that as meaning he wouldn't even give the Rockets a chance to convince him to stay if he didn't get his preference.

Lopez is a good center, we can offer him something like we give to Asik.

‪#Magic‬ re-visiting, giving ‪#Nets‬ the yes/no they've asked for Lopez sake. Up to Hennigan, who addresses media @ 4. Status quo for poker game

Teams can't sign a FA unless they have the cap room to do it.

They get into the tax by resigning thier own players or through a trade.
