Here's a full analysis from earlier in the thread. Your figures are correct. In addition, the tax hit Chicago will endure makes the effective cost of keeping Asik closer to $30 million in th e3rd year (only 15 counts toward cap).

Watson gone, Brewer gone, exploring a trade for Korver(T'Wolves reportedly), looks like all signs point to them matching.

Hoping so. Would rather carry an extra $10 million for 2 years and get Howard/Bynum than no get them and Carry Asik (no offense)

Would prefer McGee over Asik for me. But McGee would not fit in McHale system

KC Johnson of Chicago Tribune on the SCORE said that Chicago is going to match the Asik deal....... talking about it right now.

You know as much as I want a good 2013 pick, watching Patterson and/or Scola play C will really take the fun out of it.

Even though the C starved Bucks traded him and 2 spots in the draft for Sammy, I'm willing to give him a shot. He sure can't be any worse and it will be something new which is entertaining in and of itself.

The two young prospects worth going after on the Bucks was Leuer and Tobias Harris. The Rockets were lucky to get the one who plays PF/C.

IMO Leuer is a better player and prospect than Patterson right now.

Tough for me to judge Patterson. He didn't seem 100% last season so there is a chance he could bounce back to rookie performance which was really good.

Random trivia....they were both born on March 14, 1989.

While we may not get Asik, we have basically destroyed Chicago's chances at a title.

They will certainly lose one of Boozer, Deng, Noah or Gibson now.

    Bad management is bad.

They would definitely miss the 15 million dollars they have to pay him.

    Bulls are pretty frugal.
