I think they'd go with Stockton/Malone mainly. I'm not a fan of what Barkley would do there defensively. Stockton would help against the zone and add some defense and nastiness.
Jordan, Pippen. Either of the centers.
I think Drexler and Mullin would probably be the main bench guys, not Bird. It's just hard to "rise up" when you are retired, out of shape and defended by a world class defender. But who knows.

Take Magic off that team and they would still mop the 2012 squad. You do realize the Bulls never had a traditional PG? Pippen can handle PG duties and defend every "quick" PG on the 2012 team. And the team would still have Jordan and Drexler left to defend the other wings, with Robinson and Ewing backing them up. Not an issue. And for some reason, I don't know why folks act like Stockton was a horrible defender. He was actually a good one (5 all D teams).

Yet Barkley, Malone, Ewing, Robinson would have absolutely murdered any combination of Scola, Oberto or M. Gasol, P. Gasol with their toughness and rebounding alone. Then you'd put Jordan and Pippen on Manu's and Rudy Fernandez's of their respective countries and it's over!

Having an aged Stockton and Magic along with Clyde is a luxury in itself, they'd get run out of the gym regardless, now OR then. Period point blank. Thread/

Dream team would make a living in the paint against the players these days. They would physically abuse them and go to work.

The way some of the posters goes, you would think that 2012 team is a team of collage kids... wait, make that high schoolers.

Yes I do think that at the end Dream Team will still win it, but its not played between men and boys. As many posters shown, most of the dream team members are in their mid 20s, not every single one of them is in their prime, where a few posters are thinking.

Okay so who would make the Dream Team roster from this squad?

LeBron and Durant certainly, Chris Paul without a doubt and that's it. The others? Kobe is iffy. Kobe at this point of his career is no better than Clyde was in 1992. Kobe is only a slightly better player than Clyde overall.

Forget all the physical attributes for all these players, the Dream team played with such an intelligence and high basketball IQ, that the 2012 team wouldn't even know what hit them. No slight to this year's team, but we're comparing them to the greatest team of all time.

you need to read my post(s).
i'm saying that the 1992 team would probably win. But Magic won't be a key to that win.
Not every criticism is an extreme criticism.

Like I told you before, if Magic's presence relegates Williams/Paul/Westbrook to the bench, that's a pretty big contribution to the win....

Sure it does. If Magic is on the court, Williams/Paul/Westbrook can't be. There's no one they could guard.

You know why your POV reeks of baby vomit? It's because you casually dismiss in your keen analysis a 29 yr old '92 Jordan. In one line. He's the GOAT and at his peak in '92 playing against international scrubs but yet he has the 2nd worst FG%. Wow.

But, carry on. To each his own.

Yeah, you answered by providing a lineup that didn't have Williams/Paul/Westbrook.

That means that Magic's presence relegates them to the bench, and that Magic would've played a key role.

And that means you're wrong about Magic.
