As a Baylor guy, I can assure you he won't be. He was probably my LEAST favorite player in Baylor basketball's history. So frustrating to watch him disappear given all his talent.

Understand your concern ROXTXIA, but if the Rockets aquire Howard, where is he going to go after this year is up? Brooklyn can only offer the mid level next season, the Lakers will most likely extend Bynum, the Clippers are over the cap, the Knicks... over the cap. Unless he just hates Houston, or Morey puts zero talent around him...he's staying here and taking the money all day long.

I understand giving up the farm for him mainly because the Rockets will need talent around him to win, but in all honesty I just dont see a situation where he gets traded to Houston, and walks to Brooklyn at the end of the year for the MLE.

 

I agree with this; but dh12 + couple of decent players + Orl.'s cap crap....

Oh, well. At least we'd be on national tv a lot.

Not that it matters too much since the TOR pick will most likely be conveyed next year anyway, but the conditions of the pick were reported differently by Bryan Colangelo today than what Chronicle originally reported:

Chronicle said the range in which the pick would be conveyed look like this:

2013: (4-14)
2014-2015: (3-14)
2016-2017: (2-14)
2018: unconditional
