hes basically just a rumor mill ... his prediction is based on insider tweets ... hes hit or miss depending on which tweeter hes choosing to believe.

Its like me posting My prediction is the 3 way trade with HOU/LA/ORL - because docrocket or something.

Morey will trade for Howard directly, and try and convince him to stay with extra $$ and whatever vision of the future he can paint. If he doesn't want to extend, then the Lakers trade is always there. No need to flip for Bynum right away unless the Lakers are taking substantial contracts or giving up Pao (unlikely)

Disney always looking for a sexy story, Rockets not being one. Yesterday the headline read "Dwight to LA?" and the story was about how the Lakers and Rockets were both in deep talks about acquiring him.

Are you going to still feel this way if his "assets" land Howard or Bynum?

I think he is the unofficial Dwight mouthpiece. He is from RealGM. UT was literally the first person to report that Dwight has opted into Orlando last year. So either Fegan or Howard has been feeding him with stories or perspectives to float into the media.

Nice 2nd post rook. Unfortunately, the average number of years in the lottery for Tankers before lightning to strike is 8 years. Ever notice the same teams suck every year? I really don't want to gamble waiting until the next decade to be good again. Try tanking on 2K12 where the odds are better.

He's been insisting for a week now that a Nets deal was all but done even when we know it's a smokescreen.

When one of the last stories ESPN ran on the Dwight trade cited Hoopsworld as a source for the info they were quoting... you know how solid their information is.

That being said there are guys who do have access to quality sources within the league. Adrian Woj. is typically the first person to get info, and Ken Berg. If we hear something from Woj. its probably has some legs to the story. Also Mark Stein has a known relationship with Dan Fagan who represents Howard. I would think that he probably has as good an insight as anyone on this situation.

It is kind of interesting that we haven't seen (or I haven't) any recent tweets reiterating that Howard wouldn't sign here. Maybe they see the writing on the wall?

Instead of trying to be the first to "break" the story, he waits until it's right before reporting. It's a rarity in the twitter age of journalism.

The Rockets really do a good job of keeping negotiations quiet unlike other teams. The fact that things are really this quiet right now probably is positive for fans that want the Rockets to be involved.

I think there is a good chance that something happens today or it wont happen till October IMO. Which was probably more likely to begin with in reality. In all honesty, Orlando can wait till training camp starts to get a deal done if they want to.

Starting today teams can officially sign free agents and that might make it difficult to get a deal done.

Yea and he still is usually one of the first to report it lol. He certainly knows what he is doing and I would call him one of the best NBA reporter out there.
