Went to bed last night, everything was fine. Woke up today and found a new lake in the front and backyard. Drought??
AMazing temps. Highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's in east tx.....in the second week of May. WIth a constant cool breeze. Insane. We didn't get much of a winter this year, but if we get a few of these "cool" fronts....I'll be happy.
I heard about that, out toward Dumas, and I saw signs saying the highway toward there was closed that day. We get hail often but usually not that much at once. Never seen it accumulate. It's been raining all today and a lot of yesterday here in the Panhandle, which is a really nice change of pace. Not hot either. Enjoying this while it lasts.
My yard only got about 5 minutes of sprinkles all weekend. I seriously think there is a tiny high pressure system directly over my neighborhood. Kingwood always gets the shaft on these rainy days.
We had around an inch Saturday and it was already raining when I left for work. No sprinkler system this week, the Lords rains will help my already green yard grow into the heavens.
Your post made me think of this... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DOOLrAa6LUw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
My yard is fuct right now!!! Haven't been able to cut it for like 2 weeks now, it needs a good trimming right now it looks like a forest in Vietnam...
My gauge says 4-3/4" inches since Monday. Love it, but I just had the yard mowed on Saturday and it's already grown like 7 inches! So many soft balls in that sentence. Knock 'em out Swoly.
We only got about 1 inch so far but Palacios got 11 inches! Any of you getting in to work now? The commute is a mess. Thank god I am working from home today!
I have never seen my neighborhood under more water than it was this morning. I like the rain, but it needs to let up, and soon.
