This. I like Bynum, but what's the point of going for second best when best is right there in front of you? Plus, if best leaves, he is also leaving 57 Million ;)

Completely agree. Although I think I'm more scared of giving up a lot of assets and picks and only getting Bynum, and letting LA get away with basically swapping Bynum for Howard.

Correct me if I'm wrong but we will not be able to amnesty any of the contracts we get through trade, correct?

I was under the impression that you could only amnesty players that were on your roster at the time the new CBA was put into effect.

You are correct. Striped Pajamas correctly outlined the amnesty rule. The only player we might even consider is Scola

    Sorry if already posted:

Rockets remain strongly engaged w/ Orlando in direct talks for Dwight Howard, sources tell Y! They've spent little time on 3-way scenarios.

Good. If we're gonna go through with a trade that requires us to part with our youngsters and picks, then we better be going for it all. Especially considering that we'd have to part with a lot either way, so why help L.A.?

LeBron will be moreys biggest asset of all... which he will then flip into
    5 first round picks
    5 second round picks
& 1 Miami Heat Championship ring

Bucher on ESPN now saying this three team deal is ENTIRELY conceptual, and that it won't likely happen because there's zero agreement with respect to what players and assets would be moving.

Saying a Dwight trade probably won't happen this week.

Bynum doesn't like the old b**** Kobe, it is an open secret. He will act like a leader once he plays for another team building around him.

Bucher is a Nets fan. He said the worst news of all is it won't happen for the Nets.

    I don't disagree..especially Bucher.

He said it's a 20% likelihood that the Rockets/Magic/Lakers deal would happen...

anchor just said, "well yesterday you said it was 80% he was heading to the Nets." :)

20% Lakers-Rockets-Magic deal happens as constituted per Bucher.

    Also says

...it won't happen as we've heard it.
...Nets continue to be the leader because they're willing to go 'crazy'.
...straight up deal between NJ and Orlando 'could' happen but not at that point yet.
